As i began walking out of the school I saw lucas wearing his lacrosse clothes, along with ethan and nick.
he stopped me and started talking about our plans for tonight. we managed to convince carrie into letting us use her house to throw a party.
"you okay? you look a little out of it?" he asked me as i started zoning out.
"yep, all good" i spoke with a bright smile.
"i'm here for you, you know that right?" he whispered as he gently stroked my hair and smiled down at me. "I know, thanks"
"Aw has my little brother gone soft" a dark voice interrupts as on our way to the beach.
I turn around and face the slightly taller than lucas, brunette boy. His hazel eyes as if they were looking into my thoughts. The smile on his face turning into smug smirk. Just from first glance I could tell that this boy will be the death of me.
"So, is this the girl you've been telling me all about?"
"What are you doing here max?" Lucas looked at the boy slightly bored of his games.
"Just wanted to say hi to the girl i've heard so much about"
Before anyone could respond, the coach came out to check on everything.
"Lucas, Nick, Ethan, what's taking so long, come on boys hustle we can't lose another game!"
"I'll be back soon i promise" lucas whispered to me before giving max another deathly glance and running off with nick and ethan.
"There goes your boyfriend" He speaks teasingly.
I finally turn my head to look at him again as i notice he's staring at me with little to no emotion.
"Ew, boyfriend? who told you that?" I finally ask confused as to where he got that idea, lucas wasn't like a brother to me, nor was he a boyfriend or a boy i had a crush on. he was simply always there for me, as i was for him.
his face immediately goes blank, his smirk no longer present, but before i knew it his mood changed to slightly amused and the dangerous grin took place on his face yet again.
"At least he did something right, he knew not to get into a relationship and become weak" he spat.
No I didn't like lucas, but him saying that about him just didn't sit right with me. i began to grip my books harder.
"No offense or anything, but who the fuck are you and what do u have to do with me?" I spat getting confused as to why he was seemed so interested in lucas and i.
his amused grin seemed to only get larger as he heard those words.
"what's your name?" he asked ignoring my question.
"i thought you knew all about me" i questioned confused but slightly more confident knowing i now have the upper hand.
"I lied, you know to piss off lucas. now what the fuck is your name?" he questioned again.
"i guess you'll just have to figure that one out for yourself." i said smiling innocently as i began walking towards the club.
