"your late." once again

"get used to it" i responded rolling my eyes.

"you work for me. remember that, wouldn't want anything happening to your little friends now would we" caleb taunted.

i didn't respond. he was right, i was working for him and if i did something wrong then alex and reggie would get hurt.

"shit" i mumbled under my breath after seeing the two boys i tried so hard to stay away from. "what are they doing here?" i asked willie.

"oh shit my bad i'm sorry i forgot to tell you they were coming here" he says quickly while going to greet alex.

before anyone could see me i run to find caleb.

"you promised me!" i yell.

"what's this about?" he said clearly bored.

"you promised me that if i did this they wouldn't be involved!" i was overrun with emotions and not thinking clearly.

"y/n keep your voice down." he stated sternly.

"you told me that you wouldn't hurt them!" i continued yelling.

"shut up!" i couldn't help but flinch slightly at the sound of his voice.
"sorry, just please stay quiet." he quickly corrected himself after seeing my reaction.
i'm not quite sure if he knows about my past but he's never gotten as mad at me as he does to some of the others.

"you promised me." i said quieter now.

"don't you worry, nothing bad will happen to them"

there was a feeling in my stomach letting me know that he wasn't telling the truth.

"i'm taking the day off." i said before running off making sure no one saw me.

i began to make my way to the beach. as i was on my board, the slight burning sensation in my eyes from the wind, along with the feeling of freedom came across me. I couldn't help but wonder where Luke had been for the past six weeks. I shouldn't be thinking of him.

i continued skating in silence down the long path to the school. There were barely any people around, allowing me to escape in my thoughts.

That is until i noticed those hazel eyes. The ones that made me regret everything that i had done in the past few months. the hazel eyes that i began to lose my sense of realism in. that's when i realised i only saw alex and reggie with caleb. luke wasn't with them.

he obviously noticed me and started to make his way over. before i could escape he poofed in front of me.

"y/n?" he said trying to make himself believe that i was real.

i couldn't let him back in, not after everything that happened.

"please, please let me talk to you!" his pleading eyes made it extremely hard to say no to. luckily for me i was used to disappointing people.

"i can't, i'm sorry" i said quietly trying not to let him see how much his presence affected me.

"you don't have to say anything, please just listen, i want to apologise" he said before i could leave.

"no, luke, you don't get to be sorry, you don't get to apologise."

"i know, i know i fucked up, please tell me what i can do to make it better"

nothing. nothing could take back what he did to me, he betrayed my trust. it's not that he told them everything, i probably would've done that eventually, but he didn't even give me the choice, he didn't give me time. he stole my voice from me, and there was nothing he could do to make me forgive him.

"please stop luke." i said before leaving and making sure he wouldn't follow me.

i'm prly gonna end the book soon which rly scares me so if anyone has any filler chapter ideas pls give them to me bc ill prly do a second book but like idk it still scared me

also if i were to do a second book i think i wld rework this one first and rewrite it making the story a bit better and structure it in parts so this wld b the first part and i wld make a chapter sayinf when the second started so it can all b in the same book
