Luke x Reader (JATP) - barely editing anymore

Chapter 6

You finally succeeded in falling asleep on the surprisingly comfortable couch. It was cold that night but for some reason you woke up all cozy.

"Did you sleep well?" Luke asked empathetically.

"Um I'm sorry what?" You manage to get out while rubbing the sleep from your eyes.

"Did you have a good sleep? You didn't look warm enough so I put that blanket on you, I hope your not too mad" It was almost like he was trying to do something nice but you had already scared him away.

"Oh, that was you? Yea thanks I was kinda cold" You wanted the conversation to stop there, you didn't want him to ask any other questions about this. You could ramble on and on about any other topic, food, sports, animals, math, music, anything would've been better than talking about your family.

"You know I never actually got your name, but mystery girl kinda suits you" Luke said letting out a little chuckle.

There was no other explanation anymore, you fell asleep you weren't high and even though you were tired you don't see thing. How the hell could this actually be happening. An actual ghost just helped you fall asleep.

"Y/n, my names y/n" You start to panic a little, it was all in your head before but it wasn't anymore, it wasn't a prank, it was real.

"So y/n, why were you sleeping in the garage?" Luke questioned, it looked almost as if you were the only interesting thing in his life right now.

You may have hated talking about family, but because of growing up with one you got pretty good at coming up with stuff on the spot.

"My mattress hasn't arrived yet, this was the only soft place I could sleep on without sleeping in a bush" It wasn't your best excuse, but it worked for what it needed to do.

"Hey look who finally woke up" Reggie randomly appeared and said w a smile.

"Look i'm like half asleep right now so can u guys just leave for right now" You felt like you were half dead you had just had a horrible night and now these guys were here. You weren't mean though, Luke did put a blanket on you which is kinda creepy in a way but it saved you from being cold.

"How about we play you one of our songs to wake you up?" Luke didn't really wait for an answer and by the time I was gonna respond to say no Luke's guitar and Reggies bass appeared on them almost as if it was the same way they appear.

"So y/n do you sing or play any instruments"? Reggie asked while they were setting up they're instruments.

"Nope, never got into that type of thing" You were so used to saying this by now when people asked you didn't even stutter on the lie.

*Played Now or Never*

"Soo, how'd you like it?" Reggie says hoping to get a good response out.

"Yea you guys are really good" You meant it they were amazing but you were just tired from last night so you couldn't show it very well.

That wasn't really new to you though you stopped showing your emotions because you didn't want to get to happy just to get disappointed again.

"Not really the response we were looking for" Luke said as if he was asking for you validation that they were good.

"No really, I meant it you guys were really good i'm just tired, you know" Luckily for you that shut them up because you said it empathetically. 

"Um I should probably go get changed" You get up to go back into your house while still holding the blanket around you since you were cold.
