Luka's POVI felt the cool air smash against my face as Juleka and I guided through the ice.
I felt guilty for ditching school but I-I just couldn't go.
Not when I knew that she would be there.
I sighed as I slid against the ice creating friction from me and my skates. Sadly, my back ended up hitting the wall catching me off guard.
"Ow!" I muttered. Now my butt was cold and bruised and so were my socks.
Was there anything worse than soggy socks? Probably the main characters in a WATTPAD only getting together in the twenty seventh chapter. Some dumbass author.
(Authors Note: Did I just make Luka bash me? Yes, yes I did.)
Juleka came back with her skates just to see me fall on the hard ice floor.
"LUKA!" a voice called out. I jumped. It wasn't Juleka's voice though.
I heard the clicking of ice skates as I was met with blue eyes.
My heart sank.
"Oh hi Rose."
"LUKA!" Rose said again more urgently inspecting me as Juleka came from behind her,
Wow. I really couldn't stop thinking about Marinette huh? I couldn't stop thinking of her so much that I thought she was my sister's girlfriend.
Ugh-creepy...
I couldn't help but feel a pang set in my hurt. Part of me didn't want to see Marinette because it made me insane with guilt but another part of me wanted her right besides me smiling.
All I had wanted was to see her smile-but instead the last take I saw her I made her cry.
My brain and heart jumped again at the realization of what I had done.
I had to see Marinette.
Even if she didn't love me-even if she only saw me as a friend-even if she hated me now-
I had to see her smile. I had to see her eyes light up. Even if it wasn't with me. Even if it was Adrien.
She had to be happy.
"LUKA!" Juleka and Rose yelled in unison at me again. I nodded to them.
And then six words trickled out of my mouth. Those six words that set the future in stone.
"I need to go see her."
I ran out of the ice rink slipping and untiring my skates as fast as I could. I found my regular shoes and ran-ran to the school. I bounced around the corner. My hand gave me leverage and outshined me further as it hit the wall.
I ran across the sidewalk that led to the Lovelock Bridge: the quickest route to school and Marinette.
As I crossed the bridge, I heard another voice.
The cool chilly air whipped past me.
"LUKA!"
I was met by her familiar blue eyes. It wasn't Rose's voice or eyes, since I had mistaken last time.
"Marinette." I breathed out.
And there we were-both of us face to face on the bridge that was said to be the place of eternal love.
Rose and Juleka came back behind us. They were both panting from trying to keep up with me but smiled to see us become reunited.
Marinette's gorgeous raven hair bounced off of her shoulders as she snuggled into the hoodie I gave her when I first confessed my love to her. Despite the chilly weather she was in black shorts to complement the navy blue hoodie.
