Chapter Twenty-Eight: Their Date

(A/N: I just watched the new season four miraculous episode, "Truth." I- I cried my eyes out.  Just- pain. Lukanette shippers that episode is kinda like our Titanic :0)

Nobody's POV

♫'Under the moon,'♫

"Woo!" Luka spun around laughing as he danced to music in his room.

♫ 'Deep within the woods'♫

He hummed as he drummed his fingers getting ready for his date tonight with Marinette. 

They had been going out consecutively in the past week.  Carnival rides, long walks in the park, wading near the water, and now the movies.

The phrases repeated over and over as Luka put on a fresh tshirt and considered his moves.

♫ 'Deep within the woods'♫

Luka felt a petite set of arms wrap around his waist.  He jumped as he looked behind him to see Marinette pressed against his back.

Marinette-also a Jagged Stone fan, laughed and sang the melody.

"Kiss me♫", she sang in her angelic voice.  Luka closed his eyes, he loved the sound of her voice.  She had learned a thing or too from the voice warmups at Kitty Section practices.

Luka spun around to face the gorgeous girl in front of him. 

She was in a light pink romper, her hair let down.  Her blue bell eyes shining at him with love and adoration.  She bit her soft pink lips as she looked up  at him expectantly.

"Gladly." Luka replied before picking her up off the ground so she was able to reach his lips.  Marinette smiled into the kiss moving her mouth to go deeper.  Luka's hands traveled up and down her back as Marinette's legs wrapped around his waist.

This went on for a couple of minutes until Luka got tired and finally put her down.  He still held her hand though. 

"Hi." Luka smiled at her.

"Hey." She said with a dreamy stare in her eyes as she looked up at him. 

"Ready to go." Luka said smiling as he wrapped his arm around her waist she nodded before grabbing a sharpie from his desk.  Marinette hummed as Luka watched her draw a ❤︎ on her wrist.

And in the heart was a M+L.  As if they got matching tattoos the same heart and 'M+L' shined on Luka's wrist.  She smiled and looked up at him with an infectious giggle.

"Now everyone knows that you're mine and I'm yours."

And with that Marinette let go of his hand and ran away with a giddy smile on her face as Luka, laughing and raced her to the movie theatre.

Both laughed as they went inside as Luka paid for their smoothie.  This was the most fun they had felt in a long time.

For the first time both could catch their breaths and finally be free.

In fact at the moment they were watching Jagged Stone's first mediocre movie: Crocodile Heart.

They both laughed as they sat down.  Snuggling in one another's embrace.

PDA who? ;)

The sun outside the theatre set into a dark sky scattered with stars and swirled with clouds. 

Marinette walked out waiting for Luka to join her- the only difference was Luka had to run back inside for his jacket.

He didn't remember to bring it with all the making out they were doing in the theatre.

Marinette felt her lips turn corners and a smile appear.  She hadn't felt this great in a long time.

She sighed contently- as she felt an arm snake around her waist she laughed before looking up, "Luka..."

"H-hi Bugaboo."

Not Luka. 

"Adrien." Marinette gasped pulling away.

There were flaky dark bags under his eyes indicating that he had been crying from a recent breakup.  His and Marinette's.

"I fucked up Princess. Really bad.  I got scared and upset when I found out that-that you two were soulmates... because I wanted that for us... I have absolutely no excuse for hurting you that much and bringing with Kagami..."

"A-Adrien."

Marinette gasped.  He was in a suit and had a bouquet of red roses in his hand with a white ribbon wrapped around it.

"I know we aren't soulmates but-but we love each other and I feel like that's enou-"

"Adrien!" Marinette gasped again. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Adrien had seen them in the halls together and in public and- it got too much for him.

"So what do you say Marinette another chance?"  Adrien said, giving her his infamously adorable puppy eyes.

"Hey, Ma-ma-Marinette I just got my jacke-" Luka stopped in his tracks as he saw Adrien standing on a knee with a bouquet of flowers in his hand and a blushing Marinette in front of him.
