Kelly stared at Matt who was giving him an emotionless look which made the lieutenant confused. "how did she found out?" he asked his friend but Matt didn't respond as he was trying to figure out why Kelly would do this to Meredith.

"i don't know." he shrugged his shoulders.
"no one knew." Kelly muttered as he rubbed his forehead.

Matt shook his head before he left the man sitting down in the pit before he walked through the halls, to where he knew the three girls would be. "hey." he muttered as he pushed his office door open, as he gave it to them to talk about what happened.

"i'm good, i'm good." Meredith pushed the two girls away and stood up, she hated how they would cradle her if something happened. "i just need to work." she muttered, and left the office to go back to the common room, and placed herself next to Herrmann.

"you good kid?" he asked.
"i'm good, just want everyone to stop asking me that." she muttered when she saw Kelly come through the doors.

Meredith glared at the lieutenant before glancing at the TV, which held the football game. "RING!" the intercom ringed. "Squad three and ambo 61, fallen tree on a car." it said which made the tasked run to the situated cars.

"i'll drive." Sylvie smiled which made Meredith nod and get into the passenger seat.
"let's go." she nodded when the fellow blonde drive out of the fire station, with the fire engine behind them.

The two sat in silence but Meredith knew that Sylvie wanted to ask about what happened with Kelly. "before you say anything, i don't want to speak about it." she held her hand up.

Meredith sat in silence for the rest of the journey to the accident. "Wright! i need you." she heard her name being called, and she knew the voice belonged to Kelly, but she knew she had to go and push her feelings aside.

"what have you got?" she ran up to the patient and Kelly.
"looks like two broken legs and possible broken back." the lieutenant explained what he thinks, and Meredith leaned over to place a c- collar on the small girl.

Meredith smiled at the young girl who looked around to be nine, "hi sweetie, my name's Meredith." she admitted morphine which would help the pain subside until she could be transported to MED.

"what's your name?" kelly asked which made Meredith roll her eyes.
"Meghan." she responded before wincing.

Kelly and Meredith worked with together to get Meghan out of the car, and they both tried to limit the movement to try and ease her pain. "Capp! get a stretcher!" Kelly ordered as Meredith climbed in the car to move her from the other side.

Tony, another squad three team member, watched the car slowly as it was the car that had the most impact. "we are going to put you on this board okay." Meredith told Meghan as she helped Kelly slide her on.

"Meredith get out!" but she hadn't heard what Tony said as she was busy speaking to the young girl, and because of this... she was inside the car when it caught on fire.

Meredith hissed as her arm caught on fire but she was quick enough to put it out. "fuck!" she yelled as she tried to climb out of the car but the roof collapsed. "Meredith!" Kelly cried as he tried to lift the roof up to get the paramedic out.

"i'm okay!" she coughed as she covered her mouth to limit the smoke intake.

Kelly and Tony both lifted the roof as Capp climbed in, before sliding Meredith over to his boss and friend. "she's unconscious." he told them both. "where's Sylvie?" Kelly yelled which made the blonde paramedic look over where her name was called from.

"what's up?" she asked but the colour in her face drained when she saw Meredith in Kelly's arm. "what happened?" she asked as he placed her on the floor as there wasn't any available stretchers. "she was in the car helping move the patient, but the car caught on fire then the roof collapsed." Kelly explained as he sat next to an unconscious Meredith.

Sylvie wiped away tears as she worked on her best friend, "radio in that we need another ambulance." the blonde ordered the lieutenant. "this lieutenant kelly severide, squad three." back in the fire house heard their friends voice over the radio. "we need a second ambulance, we have a paramedic down." he cut contact which made the remaining firefighters run to their trucks and rush to the scene.

"come on, Mer." Kelly whispered as he brushed her hair out of her eyes.
"no pulse. start CPR." the remaining paramedic stated, and when Kelly went to do this, Capp moved him out of the way before he started compressions.

Meredith's body was shocked twice with no response, which scared the paramedic as most patients wake on the second shock. "we're here!" they looked up to see the rest of the firehouse there. "Gaby!" she yelled as she needed help.

"no pulse, stats are low." Sylvie explained everything to Gaby who leaned down to check breathing sounds. "left lung sounds collapsed." she looked up before the girl was shocked again. "got a steady rhythm!" Gaby announced as both females picked up and placed her on the stretcher.

Sylvie and Gaby put their friend into the back of their ambulance, "i'll drive." Sylvie said as she wasn't in the right frame of mind to work on her friend if she crashed.

"we're going to MED." Gaby told Kelly who nodded before he closed their doors and then they were off.

Gaby put in a central line to give Meredith fluids, and placed an oxygen mask over her face which helped improve her stats. "we're here!" The blonde opened the doors before taking the unconscious blonde out of the ambulance.

They rolled the stretcher into the hospital where they were met by Maggie and April. "Meredith Wright, 26, unconscious paramedic!" Gaby told them and they were told to go to room six, where they were met by Connor Rhodes.

"what happened?" the doctor and the nurses transferred Meredith onto one of their beds.
"she was inside a car when it caught on fire, and the roof collapsed." the retired paramedic explained to the trauma doctor.

Connor nodded as the two females were ushered out of the room where they met with their friends. "what's happening in there?!" Otis asked Sylvie and Gaby who left the A&E part. "Connor is looking after her." the blonde paramedic whispered as she sat next to Cruz.

"i shouldn't of let her go inside the car." Kelly statement made everyone look up.
"the car was fine, you didn't know it was going to catch on fire." Tony tried to reassure his friend.

Kelly rubbed his forehead before standing up, and within his angry phase, he kicked over a chair and left the hospital. "i'll go." Matt stood up and left after his friend. "hey man, calm down." the captain turned his friend away, and he saw the tears coming down his face.

"i love her man." he muttered which made Matt bring him into a hug.
"she'll be fine. she's a fighter." Matt whispered, rubbing his back.

Inside room six, the lead doctor and April were working their hardest to bring back their friend. "get me a cold blanket!" Connor ordered which a nurse ran to the equipment cupboard and ran back to the room, before giving him the blanket.

"she's coating!" April yelled.

Connor grabbed the panels before placing them on her chest, "charge to two hundred!" he yelled.

"clear!"
