Pain

It was all Meredith could feel. Emotions were the one thing that always stayed with you.

"Sylvie!" Meredith called out to the blonde, "are you okay?"she asked as Sylvie nodded. "are you?" Sylvie climbed over to her. "i can't move... i can't move!"Meredith cried out as she tried to move her legs but they didn't move, and Meredith felt hopeless.

Ten hours before.
"Move over!" Kelly's voice woke up Meredith from her slumber, the firefighters had decided to do a little sleepover at the paramedics house, as she moved into a new one due to her old apartment being a safety hazard. "can you shut up?" Meredith glared over at the lieutenant, who glanced over at her and gave her a cheeky smile.

The paramedic threw herself back onto the bed, but she glanced over to see her fellow paramedic still asleep. "hey, Meredith. I'm hungry." she sat up again to see Kelly staring right back at her. "hey, Kelly. I'm tired." she mimicked him before rubbing her forehead. "come on then!" she manoeuvred around a sleeping Otis and Herrmann before walking over to Kelly.

"you owe me." she muttered.

The lieutenant and the paramedic continued to step around people to reach the kitchen. "pick something." she yawned as she rested up against the kitchen counter, watching his every movement. "so who was that guy that you were with a couple of days ago?"he sat down on her counter, waiting for the blonde to respond.

"Carter." she shrugged as she sipped on her hot chocolate.

Kelly nodded as he carefully ate his bowl of cereal, "we have work in four hours." he muttered as he glanced at the clock on her wall. "we can wake them up in two hours." she told the lieutenant as she finished her drink, before placing the cup in the sink. "why are you up anyways?"she asked as she went back to standing opposite him.

"i couldn't sleep." he told her.

"i was thinking about you and the bloke." Kelly thought.

Meredith nodded as she bit her lip, "i'm going to try and get a little more sleep. Don't stay awake for too long." she gave him a weak smile before heading back upstairs to her bedroom, and as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was asleep.

But Kelly stayed downstairs. His thoughts consumed him.

Before the lieutenant could realise, it had gone past two hours and all the in the house was waking up. Kelly had to improvise, and he tip toed to the sofa and pretended he was asleep on it, and he would hope that Meredith would wake him up.

"wake up man." but he was awoken by Otis.

All got dressed for the day that was ahead of them but they didn't realise that Meredith and Sylvie was getting dressed to get into an accident later that day or that Kelly and Cruz was going to feel broken that the girls they loved were injured.
