Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow
~William ShakespeareY/n woke up in what seemed like the middle of the night. It was still quite dark outside from her glance at the barely opened blinds. She assumed that from the light it was probably still around 4 am.
She tried to go back to sleep as she got into a more comfortable position, snuggling deeper into the covers, but her body told her that she got enough sleep already.
Only then she felt how dry her throat was. She grabbed the cup from her nightstand and looked at the orange liquid.
'Right' she grunted as she threw the blanket off of her and placed the cup back at the nightstand.
She walked to the minifridge next to her desk and opened it to grab a small waterbottle. As she was drinking her alarm went off, signaling it was finally 7 am.
She glanced at the window in disbelief. 'Why is it so dark? By 7 its supposed to be barely dim right? I guess clouds' her mind wondered before she went on to turn the alarm off.
She set her waterbottle on the desk and stood up on her bed to grab the books she would need for the day from the shelves above her bed. She then shoved them in the backpack which had fallen onto the floor.
It was finally Friday which meant it was the end of the pre last week before the holidays. Spring break was really one of the best times of the year. Blooming plants, colorful flowers, trees becoming green. A magnificent time, really.
Y/n took her laptop from the desk, in hopes of watching a video to get her morning started, only to find out it was dead. With a loud but held groan she plugged it in the charger hoping it would charge fast enough for her lessons.
She got to her microwave and warmed up some leftover grilled cheese from last night as she couldn't be brought up to make a fresh breakfast. With that she grabbed a small can of iced coffee.
She was eating her breakfast when she noticed the lights were turned to a more light yellow than what she set it to last night. She reached out for the remote which was showing just its corner from the blanket. 'I probably layed on it.'
She turned the leds to white so she could see in a more natural light. The sky finally became a tiny bit lighter than when she woke up, which gave her a good energy.
When she finally ate her breakfast she made her way to the small shower which was in her dorm, grabbing the cup from her nightstand. She quickly washed the dishes in the sink and brought them to the cupboard they stayed in.
She walked to her window and stretched her arm out to see how cold it would be. It was pretty mild so she went for a thin pink sweather and black jeans which had a yellow crown embroidered on the back pocket.
She grabbed a yellow scrunichie which she put on her wrist and a rose quartz necklace which layed very nicely on top of her sweather.
She went on to grab her phone. She checked the time which read 7.58am. 'Just in time' she walked out of her dorm and took the long way downstairs.
'Why did I want my room so far up why did I do that' she sighed, mildly dissappointed in her past self.
She walked out of the dorms and started making her way to the main building of the university, walking on the main road.
She didnt pay much attention to her surroundings as she looked on her phone. She opened tiktok to see if anything new interesting happened. 'App can't be accessed? Bruuuhh' she checked her data, which was fine.
