"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you."
-Friedrich Nietzsche

Y/n walked in the kitchen and grabbed two cones of cookies 'n' cream ice cream. The backyard door was still open and the soft wind came in.

It was definitely chilly enough for someone to will to put a jacket on but something about the wave of it wanted her to stay for a bit. The warm orange light was shining through the opening, giving the room a mellow glow.

She walked back into the living room, willing to give one of the ice creams to techno. She approached him and noticed his slowed down breathing pattern, his chest slowly rising and falling.

He twitched a bit which made her go back and close the glass door in the kitchen. She left the ice cream cones back in the freezer knowing that she wouldn't eat hers, or he his.

She walked back to the living room door and opened it but turned around as she heard a quiet creak behind her. Techno was wide awake looking at her, now sitting.

'Where are you going?' He asked as he tilted his head slightly to the side and yawned.

'I was going to grab a blanket' she said as she fully turned her body towards him. 'You were twitching' she looked down at her nails.

'Nothing bad would've happened' he defended himself and tried to stand up.

'Don't underestimate the weather, Mr. Blade' she tilted her body forward and then crossed her arms in front of her.

'Well I don't need a blanket anyways' he rolled his eyes and stood on one foot.

'What you are going to do,' she made a step forward. 'Is fracture your other ankle by putting double the usual weight on it'.

Techno sat down, breaking eye contact and reaching for his phone which would usually be on the coffee table. Y/n made her way to the cupboard under the tv.

'Are you looking for that?' she pointed to his phone. He gave a short nod and she handed him the phone.

'I'll be back in a bit, I'm going out' she stated as she went back to the door, going out of the living room.

She didn't wait for any form of response, before going out on the pavement bare-footed. She made her way to the sidewalk and heard the door creak, looking back at techno who stood in the doorway.

'Should I make dinner?' he asked quietly enough for her to stop for a bit.

'No, go rest, I'll cook' she said and waved goodbye at him.

She took out her airpods out of her back pocket and put them on. She got out her phone and connected it to the airpods. She played her 'movie energy' playlist and opened google.

'Hiding in the sand' by Tally Halls was the first song to play to which she smiled as she typed 'metaphysical shops near me' she turned on location.

The closest shop that there was, was a 10 minute walk. The song continued to blast through her airpods as she walked down the streets, during the sunset in the abandoned city.

To her surprise she had a very peaceful journey throughout the city. As she walked deeper into the city, the buildings got taller and the streets more narrow. 'I can't handle change' by r.o.a.r played next.

She made her way to the shop which was at the base of a very tall apartment complex. She saw the sign which was flipped to opened. For some reason some shops were open and some she had to break in.
