'What do you mean a proper forest?' Techno whined after walking for hours in the park with y/n.
'Like there is this big forest in Scotland I think and it has like a lot of things and its just really cool' she said turning to him.
'Wait isn't Scotland on a few hours drive?' Techno asked slowing his pace.
'Yeah, you can sleep' y/n shrugged and slowed her pace to match his.
'So you will drive for mire than six hours straight while I sleep?' he asked with an eyeroll. 'No we'll switch at some point'
'Yeah yeah, I'll go first though' she said reaching the end of the park.
The entire city was already taken over by nature, now that there was no one to trim the trees, no one to mow the grass and no one to keep the image.
It showed how much humanity had impacted the world over the past centuries and as much as they said that it was for the better it truly wasn't.
There were no gray 'clouds' bellow the white ones at five when everyone was coming back from work and the air was clean for once.
There wasn't a building which wasn't wrapped in vines and bright green moss, along with flowers and grass in the base, especially that it was summer.
Roads and sidewalks were cracking from the roots of the trees which grew and expanded underneath. It was really visible that humanity had left.
All except two people. Two people who preferred seeing foxes roam around the streets rather than people.
Two people who had completely given up upon researching what had happened or what would happen even before it all began.
Techno and y/n were walking towards 'their' house which was kept even more green that the others, after y/n had planted crops and techno trees and flowers.
The house looked like it was from a movie in which the main characters lived miles away from the village and used horses to travel around, while they were at full balance with nature.
The scenery was beautiful but most importantly, it was y/n's dream. To live in a somewhat isolated place, surrounded by greenery, with someone who respects boundaries.
She definitely started actually enjoying the small friendship she and techno had. It wasn't much, she didn't rush to him for everything, nor did he.
He was the calm energy she needed to stop her from burning a place down, and she was the chaos he needed to get him out of bed to try something new.
Like the yin and yang, faith or a simulation, or a matrix, or a dream had collected the two in one, to make a balance in each other's lives.
With both of their friends living across the globe, them finding eachother as a daily mental and physical support was definitely not a bad thing.
The thing between them couldn't be called nor romantic nor platonic. It was on a more advanced level than that.
Before, y/n would always get in trouble but swiftly manipulate her way out of it, while techno would be the opposite, always do the same, occasionally cooking a new meal.
'You are quiet' techno suddenly pointed out getting the author out of their thoughts.
'Oh yeah, just thinking about flowers' y/n replied and smiled at him.
'So we going to that forest or what?' Techno said getting in the driver seat.
'Slow down tiger, we have to get drinks and food, as well as maybe pillows if we decide to sleep' she said and took her sword out.
