An eternity with you: A Takamori fanfic

Chapter 2

                  I'm finally here, Kiara thought as she landed on her makeshift bed (which is essentially a master bed sized mattress on the floor until her actual order comes).
                  It has been 5 days since she has left Japan and in that process a lot has happened. After landing in Germany she headed towards an airbnb (that had internet connection problems) in which she stayed for 2 nights in which after she settled down got in contact with a distant relative. An ancient Phoenix from her mom's side that had a nice apartment room in the middle of low density Munich. And even better he was going to give it "rent-free".
                   But rent-free in huge quotations as the apartment is a bit old fashion. For starters the complex hasn't had a renovation since the 90s and as such it still had to be rigged with an internet connection. Which as a streamer means scuff streaming nightmares for the next few days.
Another would be that that heater is broken. But that didn't worry her.
                   Throwing her phone to the floor after having a long argument with the internet service provider, she stared at the ceiling. Calli is ok right?
                   At that thought she had a knee-jerk reaction and grabbed her phone only to remember that she didn't have any way of contacting her for the moment and threw it again on the floor.
                    No, Calli is ok. Kiara told herself. After all, she pinky promised.

"Calli!" Kiara shot up out of the pink master bed only to realize that what she experienced was a bad dream.
After their last dinner out Kiara decided to rest at Calli's place that night. Something that she realized as Calli burst through the door with a look of concern.
"Are you ok Kusotori?!" Calli shouted as she ran to Kiara in an alarmed state.
"Yes I'm ok, sorry had a bad dream" Kiara said trying to pull off a smile holding her Reaper friend's hand to relieve her from her panicked state.
"That didn't just look like a bad dream" Calli replied sliding right beside her in bed moving her arm to cuddle Kiara.
Calli then continued giving a small tug with her arm "tell me what's wrong so I can end it".
Kiara stayed quiet for a few seconds before breaking it with a small sigh "it's just that... I'm worried for you Calli".
At that moment Kiara hugged Calli , hiding her face on her Reaper friend's shoulder.
She gave a slight sniffle then spoke in a cracked tone, "you know I love you, and I know you'll be fine without me. But since last night when you cried. I- I-."
Calli hushed Kiara rubbing her back in small circles. Giving a small kiss on her forehead she smiled. "It's fine Kusotori, I appreciate you being worried but you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine without you trust me."
Kiara pushed herself from Calli's arm trying to see her friend eye to eye.
"You promise?" Kiara said, as she raised a pinky.
Calli gave a slight pause before hooking her pinky to Kiara's.
"I promise."

Kiara boosted herself from the mattress. Giving herself a good stretch, she grabbed herself a pair of light gray jogging pants and a lightly creased NieR:automata merch shirt. Maybe a walk will calm my nerves she told herself as she tied her sneakers.
Even though Germany is a lot colder than the underworld Kiara never bought herself a jacket or buy cold wear.
This is because as a Phoenix she would naturally adjust her body temperature to newer climates and even give off warmth to those who need it.
Taking two steps out of her apartment she took a long breath of late afternoon air.
"Everything is going to be all right."
