"Alright you two I'm gonna head out now see you later!" Ina said waving at her camera while her tentacles pressed the disconnect button. Ame and Gura waved back, the small shark cuddling Ame's blushing face the whole time like a stuffed toy as the screen disappeared.
As the two left her, she could not help but break into a smile.
Even after reading countless mangas, shows and even personal confessions, Ina realized she never was one to fall in love or at least feel it's emotion herself. Instead, she noticed through the years that she enjoyed watching it instead. Seeing couples flourish into wonderful flowers through their trials and tribulations whilst pushing them on occasion to make sure they "find the right track". Just being the viewer was fine enough to her.
Her most recent couple she watched was Gura and Ame. The relatively young couple was her most recent enjoyment. Starting off the story with the two telling their secrets to Ina the priestess guided them. Pushing the two through coordinated dates, slumber parties and the rest is history. Currently Gura and Ame's biggest conflicts are long over now. The only thing left for them to do would be to our it for the world, in due time of course.
Curling in her king sized bed for one, Ina cuddled a couple of her stuffed takodachis, then slowly fell asleep.
Several hours later a call began ringing from Ina's discord on her PC. Summoning her tentacles  to reach her keyboard and mouse, Ina opened discord to reveal the mystery caller. It was Calli.

Though Ame may be the smartest in their group she wasn't the wisest. That medal was given to Ina. Being the mountain of wisdom she was, Calli called her for advice. Over the past week she has settled in Kiara's apartment quite snuggly, already familiar with locations such as the top penthouse balcony on the top floor to the general names of all of her go to order selections down at the cafe down stairs without the need of Kiara to be there (and thank god for that as Kiara was getting rather annoyed at that point).
Over that short period of time Calli's feelings towards Kiara grew immensely. Sometimes catching herself subconsciously glancing at Kiara, getting distracted during her streams and finding herself blushing more often than she did. She thought that perhaps this was some sort of sickness. But being an undead immortal reaper comes with the benefits of never worrying about those issues. Without the proper knowledge herself she went to Ina for an answer.
Calli slouched herself on the lobby couch of the complex. Kiara was currently streaming at that time and although Calli knows that Kiara wouldn't care if she would call in the other room, she still felt like it would be a bother to her.

"Hey Ina", Calli spoke waving to her. Ina waved back still sleepy, yawning after a few moments.
"Oh shit did I wake you up what time is it there like 7-ish?"
"Nah-" "Ina broke into another short yawn. "It's fine I needed to prep for my stream later anyway, so, why did you wanna call?" Ina said simultaneously scratching her eye with one arm and stretching her other. Her tentacles. curling along in unison, finally putting her to full focus.
Calli at that moment looked at the floor, trying to hide her embarrassment. "Ina... I have a bit of a problem".
"Oh sure Calli what's the problem" Ina asked, finally settled in fully focused at her friend. Nodding in agreement while murmuring " humu" at the end of every single one of Calli's sentences.
"Well recently I've been some trouble with Kiara and I don't know how to solve it."
"It's been a week and you guys are already arguing?!"
"No no it's not that it's more of the opposite" Calli said scratching her head in embarrassment. "Recently I started feeling weird stuff around her. Like my stomach would feel all weird and shit and I even catch myself glancing at her often. I even feel myself getting warmer around her. What's happening?"
At that moment Ina suddenly stopped nodding. Her small eyes suddenly widened as if finding a rare scientific discovery. "Calli, I think what you're experiencing is love".

Ina's words echoed in Calli's head filling her with a mix of fear and excitement. Her stomach started doing curls as she her legs trembled as she began hiding the deep red blush on her face. No she can't be in love, she shouldn't be in love. Why now of all times? And why am I smiling?
"Calli? Calli are you okay?" Ina shouted at her end her voice filled with concern and fear over her reaper friend.
Calli raised her head her face still a deep pink. Giving a light nod she began asking Ina for confirmation. "Are you sure about this Ina? Like are you sure it isn't some sort of weird Cthulhu magic?"
"Hey! Don't talk about the ancient ones like that! But yes, I've seen this before with over dozens of people. You have a crush on Kiara."
"But I haven't felt any of this for Kiara for the decades I know her? How are you sure about this?"
"Well you might've just needed the time then. For some people they get their feeling long after they've been acquainted with them. Maybe all you needed was the time and the right moment."
Calli went silent as she reflected over her moments with Kiara. The Phoenix was with her in her highest and lowest moments during their existence. They lived together, slept together (platonically), ate together and recently, began telling each other their deepest secrets. Calli never realized how warm those memories made her feel, wrapping her like a warm blanket on a winter's night. Back then, Calli thought nothing of them but just moments with her best friends, usually retorting with her casual grim humor and cold responses. Gosh when did she start acting so soft?
"I guess you're right Ina" Calli said, tugging a smile at the ends of her lips.

The two continued chatting for a while. Calli discussing the culture shock moments she experienced and Ina chiming in with her own antics and of course, puns. The initial tension long disappearing from Calli after Ina's reassurance.
"Alright Ina, Kiara needs me. I'll see ya later. Bye!" Calli said closing her laptop.
"Bye!" Ina said as well, logging off her end.
As the two began disconnecting Ina couldn't help but grin.
"Calli and and Kiara huh? Well it's about time." Ina murmured grinning to herself. I guess I found another couple to watch then.
