I flew away about 5 seconds after akaashi dove back in the water, and think. Where have I seen him before? He looks so familiar to me, but I don't know where I've seen him before. As I reach the field, I let go on the subject, deciding to leave it for later. In the mean time, I'm hungry! Time to catch some food.
The next day, after waking up and stretching, I fly around until I reach the spot where akaashi nd I met yesterday, and sat in a tree thinking, trying to figure out where I had seen him before. It really bugged me. I thought back years, but I hadn't seen his face in the past. I kept thinking, remembering I saw a picture in some burnt ruins that looked similar to him. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. I decide to see if I can find it, so I fly to the place. It's an abandoned village, probably deserted for a while. I saw the burnt ruins of a house, and saw the photo, yellowed with age and smoke sticking out from a log, protected from weathering by a bit of roof.
I dug it out, and looked at it. It seemed to be the wedding photo of two men, one looking vaguely like me, but I brush it off. My hair isn't styled like that. The edge of it, along with some other bits are slightly burnt, but it seems like the photo was spared for the most part. I look at both people, and my mind stirs, an old memory resurfacing.
I'm standing at an altar, a man with brown hair and a beard behind me. A man with wild hair is standing next to me, adjusting the tie on my suit. "Don't worry bro. Everything's gonna be fine. It's your big day, don't be nervous." He said smiling. Before I get a chance to respond, music starts. A little girl skips down scattering flowers, and a boy walks down holding a pillow with a couple rings. And then I see a man with raven hair, a black tux, and greenish blue eyes smiling holding a bouquet of flowers. He walks down the isle, my eyes glued to him, smiling. When he reaches me, he holds my hands. His hands are so soft. The man starts speaking, but my eyes are glued to that of the man in front of me.
"Now the vows." The man says. "Bokuto koutaro, you are first." I take a deep breath and start speaking.
"Akaashi keiji. I've loved you for ages now. Ever since we were teenagers. I don't ever wanna live my life without you beside me. I know I'm a little bit sporadic and energetic, but I'm head over heels for you. Please, never leave me." He giggles. I slip I ring onto his finger.
"Now akaashi keiji."
"Bokuto koutaro. I've loved you from the day I first saw you. ever since you came into my life, I don't think I could live without you, nor do I want to try. You balance me out. With you, my life is never boring. There's never a dull day when we're together. Even in the darkest situations, you always manage to look on the positives most of the time. I'm never going to leave you as long as I shall live. Please, take care of me." He slips a ring onto my finger.
"By the power infested in me, I pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss the groom." We lean in and our lips meet in a loving kiss. His lips are soft. People cheer, and we break apart smiling. I'm close to tears because I'm so happy. He grabs my arm and we smile. A man with a camera comes up to us, and asks up to look at each other. I close my eyes as the camera flashes, while keiji looks at me lovingly as I open my eyes and kiss him again.
After that, the memory ends.
I don't know what to say about that. More or less think. I want to know though. Was that real? Was it a dream? Was that really akaashi? It can't be! Akaashi's a merman! What's going on? Gahhh I'm so confused. I shake my head to clear my thoughts and fold up the photo, putting it in my pocket flying to the meeting spot. I'll find out later. Right now, I'm sure it isn't important.
Right?
