Okay, I have a few more chapters planned for this. Keep that in mind.

TW! Blood and death.

I surface, and sit on my normal rock, and sigh, still thinking about that nightmare. I don't know what I'd do if he disappeared. I hear a thump and look to see bokuto, and smile seeing how he looks better. Still a little injured, but over all, like he's doing better. "Hello. Are you feeling okay?" I ask, concern seeping into my voice.

"Yeah! I'm feeling a lot better now. My wings have even healed!" He says showing me his wings, which now had less holes from arrows. He flapped them a little and smiled like a child. "I would have been here earlier, but I was hungry so I went hunting first. I caught a deer!" He says looking so proud of himself, and I notice the small traces of blood by his mouth.

"I can see. You still have blood here." I say, going close and wiping it off. He chuckled.

"Thanks akaashi."

"It's nothing." I say with a small smile.

"Oh yeah! So I was stretching my wings yesterday, ad found a shiny rock! I took it home and it's in my ho-" He's cut off by an arrow shooting through his heart and blood spewing from his mouth, the tip pointing out his chest. I scream, and grab him as he leans forward, pushing myself onto the mainland, dragging him with me, fully out of the water. "Akaashi..." He says weakly.

"Shh, it's gonna be okay. You're going to be fine!" I say trying to comfort him while I panic. I try to stop the bleeding, but if I take the arrow out, it'll just get worse. He coughs a bit, while I hold him close to me. I don't care that his body is burning my skin, I just want him to stay here with me. His eye's start to flutter as the blood keeps coming. "No, no please. Please stay with me bokuto."

"Akaashi..." He whispers. "I love you."

"I love you too. Please, don't go!" I say, tears spilling out of my eyes. I choke on my sobs as I see his eyes glaze over. He's gone.

I shut his eyes with my fingers, but I can't go. I just can't leave him. I hold him close to me, humming, while I silently cry. As my skin dry's out, I feel weaker and weaker, as his body gets colder and colder.

"You are my sunshine,

 My only sunshine.

You make me happy,

When skies are grey.

You never know dear

How much I love you.

Please don't take,

My sunshine away." I sing while tears roll down my face onto his cheek. If it weren't for his now pale skin and the arrow, I would have simply thought he was asleep. He feels so cold now. I adjust his body, refusing to leave, even if it means I dry out. Even as the sun sets, I stay with him. "The sunset is so beautiful..." I talk to myself, as if he were here, simply sleeping on my tail. "I would have loved to watch it with you." I sniff. "You know?" I say, as I watch it go down.

The moon rises and the stars fill the sky. "Such a lovely night." I say, and chuckle dryly to myself. my skin is so dry, and I lay down. "Such a beautiful moon." I say, staring at the full moon. I sigh, and close my eyes, for the final time in this life, and hope we'll meet again in the next one.
