"Okay, so What's going on?" Bokuto asked me as I surfaced the water. I had barely even opened my eyes. Yes I can leave them open, but it stings. Learned that the hard way.

"Okay, I think I know what happened to us."

"Alright, so tell me!"

"I was getting there." I said with a deadpan. "We both died. You in a fire and then I drowned."

"Huh?"

"I saw a legend. Of how our people came to be. How the gods created the races."

"Tell me!"

"Okay okay, shush. I can't tell it to you if you keep interrupting me." He sits down and is silent. "Okay."

A long time ago, Posidon watched as men drowned young girls in the sea as a sacrifice, thinking they would please him. But posidon was upset by this, and took pity on the girls, transforming them into creatures who could live in the sea. They sang beautiful songs that lured the men that took their lives, and lured them to their deaths. Posidon, then angered, turned them into sirens, curing them to lure and eat human men.

There were many killed by humans, and their bodies were tossed into the sea. Posidon gave them new life in his creation of merfolk, but was unable to restore their mortal soul. Having no soul, they dissolved into sea foam, washing up on the shores, in hopes that they would be incarnated yet again as a human.

He saw those take their own life, and while he couldn't save them, he took pity. He added them to his civilization, wiping their memories clean of a past life, and what they did to do this. He gave them voices to sing and play, and meet people. A majority were friendly, and helped those on land, and sometimes fell in love with the land dwellers. The people he created live happily, exept for the sirens, who are still in punishment for taking the lives of others.

"Okay, what about me?" He asked.

"Yes, I found one on dragons too."

Long ago, when humans started to work with fire, many suffocated. Others burned. Many perished in the fire that they loved to work with. Seeing the people loved to work with them, hepetitus turned them inti their own creation. Dragons, who were able to withstand the heat of the flames that took their lives. Like the cyclops, they are resistant to all forms of fire. They gather metals for enjoyment, but unlike he had planned, they hoarded it. He minded not, and let them.

Humans started hunting them for their scales and gold, but he worried not, for their scales are nearly impenitrable. But as they started to be killed, he became worried. But he trusted the handiwork of his creation, and that they would thrive on their own. He worked on others, like winter dragons, water dragons, lightning and earth, all from dying in fires, but where their bodies ended up determined how he would make them.

"Woah, that's really cool!" I smiled a bit.

"Yeah. I suppose it is bokuto-san." I said, running my hands through my drying hair, patches of salt breaking free. I dove under to resurface, since I was starting to dry out. If I dry out too much I'll die from dehydration, like humans would if they don't drink anything.

"You're so smart akaashi!" I chuckled.

"It's nothing. Really."
