I waited for bokuto san sitting on a rock. We never scheduled an exact time for the two of us to meet, so I was fine with waiting. I wasn't waiting very long before he landed, folding his wings behind him. "Hey hey hey! Agkaashi!"
"Hello bokuto-san. How are you?"
"I'm good! I hope you weren't waiting long!" He said smiling.
"No, not long."
"Great! How are you doing?"
"I'm good." I smile slightly. "I am getting a little chilly though... hold on." I said diving into the water, I came out a few seconds later, just my head and shoulders above the water.
"Is the air cold to you?"
"yes, a bit. The water holds more heat than the air, so the change in temperature is quite uncomfortable after a while." He looked at me with a blank expression, and blinked a few times.
"I understood none of that, but I'm going to believe you." He said. I chuckled.
"What's it like on the land?" I asked, curious.
"You've never been on the land?" He asked. I sighed and lifted my tail behind me.
"Bokuto-san, I have a tail. I cant walk." I say with a bored expression.
"Oh right." He thinks for a minute. "Well, I can't talk for any people, since they sometimes try to kill us, but it's got a lot of beautiful things. Like, mountains, and flowers. The trees are nice and there's lots of cute animals!" He continued to talk about the land, and all the beautiful things there. All I did was stare into his golden eyes. They were mesmerizing. They glimmered in the sunlight when it hit them just right, and I loved them.
Out of nowhere I ended up blurting out, "You have beautiful eyes." He looked at me, and I realized what I said, and covered my mouth, sinking into the water. After a minute, I had composed myself and resurfaced. Bokuto was gone. I sighed, and turned to leave when he landed again, flowers in hand.
"I wanted to bring you some... I'm not sure if they'll last underwater..." He said rubbing the back of his neck. I giggled and gently took them.
"Thank you bokuto-san. They're lovely." I said smiling slightly. He looked a little pink, but I brushed it off. "It's getting late. I should be getting back home. You should probably do the same." I turned to swim away, but stopped. "Let's meet again tomorrow, okay?"
"Oh! Sounds good! I'll see you tomorrow agkaashi!" He said, flying off, as I dove home.
