Previously: A week later: She was meeting up with Hawks for the first time for her internships. The location was a coffee shop, a perfect public setting.
Izumi was in her hero costume just in case, she saw him in the distance standing in front of the coffee shop entrance. She waved at him slowly due to her wounds still healing up, as slow as ever. He held out his fist, she held out hers as well. He gave her a fist bump,"Alright! Let's go inside now." He said charismatically and smiling happily afterward.
She walked towards the back, and up the stairs. The building had a secret second floor. He sat down across from her. "What do you want to drink, Mrs. Todoroki?" Hawks asked nicely. "Iced caramel macchiato." He wrote down their orders and went to get their drinks. She sat there patiently waiting for him.
He came back smiling happily at her. She drank some of her drink as he talked about the safety of the people. Then suddenly he mentioned the league.
She set down her drink and exhaled slowly stuffed. "Alright, I'll tell you my true purpose of joining the league, and what Stain wanted me to really do. If I tell you this you need to help me with something." He nodded his head and set down his drink as well. "You have my word."
A few minutes later:
She started to shake he reached out and grabbed her hands. "I'm here, please continue." She nodded her head. "I was sent there to get close to Tomura Shigaraki. And once I did and they dropped their guards, I was to kill him. But then I found out that Dabi was my brother. I started to think about my past life more and more. Then I ran into Mr. Aizawa... He was one of the main reasons for living before I was remade to serve Stain." He looked at her sideways,"Remade?" She nodded her head and squeezed his hands a little bit more. "First thing first, the thing I need help with. Please help me get Stain arrested and put away." His eyebrows raise slightly in curiosity,"I see, it's a deal." She nodded her head. "Overhaul's quirk allows him to dismantle and recreate things with his hands. I was informed about this by Stain, Denki Kaminari aka Electro was an underling of Overhaul and not the League."
She let go of his hands and clenched them into tight fists. "I'm thankful but not at the same time that he saved me. But I heard terrible things from Stain about Overhaul. I need to tell you before she goes through something worse than my torment." She grabbed his hands crying blood of sadness. His eyes widened in surprise and he went to say something. "He's got a child in his custody that can create erasing quirk drug bullets. She's drained of blood and sliced up daily for the mass production of the drug. We need to save her! Please..." She shouted out in emotional pain. He stood up abruptly and saw her breaking apart from the inside out. He walked over and pulled her into a warm embrace. "I promise you that we will save her no matter what happens. I'm glad you opened up to me. That was very brave of you to do so." She cried on his shoulder, they were the same height of 5'8.
Several minutes later: Hawk smiled genuinely at her, she did the same. "Let's go find Stain together." He held out his hand for her to grab. She reached out and grabbed it confidently. "Alright."
A few hours later of flying: (Arrived In Hosu)
Hawks and Izumi landed on a tall building rooftop overlooking the city's alleyways and dark places. She crouched down on the ledge next to him. "Now we wait for a scream for help, my ears are quite efficient. So while we wait, what do you want to talk about? If you just want to rant, I'll listen." She sat down on the ledge and let her legs hang over the edge. He did the same and they drank the rest of their cold coffee. "I'm sorry for forcing you to be my friend. You probably don't care to hang out after this, it's just I've always thought you were cool." He looked at her surprised. "Really?" She nodded her head,"The ability to fly, the charisma you have. I have a feeling you might be suffering just like me which is why I wanted you to be my friend. I thought we could be great friends. Young but strong heroes, but have a dark past." He went silent. "How come you read me like a book? When everyone else just looks past me?" His words made her heart skipped a beat. She smiled at him,"Because I believe we are one in the same. If I'm wrong please tell me. But everyone deserves someone to have their back. And to care for them, no matter what happens." His eyes widened and her warm smile made his heart rate spike.
He went to say something but then she pointed at a shadow figure parkouring on top of the rooftops. "It's got to be him, let's go Hawks!" She leaped down and he glided down following her lead.
She picked up the pace and screamed out,"Chizome you bastard!" He turned his head back and scoffed irritated. He stopped and pulled out two jagged Katanas. She leaped towards him creating fire in her palms. He smirked devilishly,"You somehow recovered from what I did to you. I'll just have to do it better next time." She smirked devilishly as she extinguished her flames and clapped her hands together. He felt something pierce his back. "What the..." He looked down to see ice holding him in place. His eyes widened in shock,"No way." "Yes way, I'm a Todoroki bitch!" Hawks put him in cuffs. "You aren't worth killing. But don't think sparing your life, a blessing. I survived your torture and I'm becoming a pro hero. Who's laughing now, Stain?" They escorted him to the nearest police department.
Hawks stood there outside of the station with Izumi walking towards him. He started to walk away but she said,"Wait, hold on a sec." He turned around to see and feel her hugging him tightly. "Thanks for this, Hawks. I really appreciate the help." He stood there in shock, again.
She pulled away and smiled happily,"I can't wait for more of my internship moments with you. Well let's go back to U.A, I'm getting sleepy." He said nothing out of surprise at her honest words.
They came back to U.A. and headed towards her room across from Mr. Aizawa. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing, she hugged him happily. "I made a new friend, and I arrested Stain."
