When you wake up the following day, you realize that you are waking up next to your wife and not just your love and best friend. While you've been doing this for three months, it still blows your mind every morning. Light Spinner is still sound asleep like an angel.

You take Adora out of her bassinet and hand her the bottle. She's four months old now, and she's growing so fast. Adora is almost able to crawl and could sit up a month ago. She's growing up so fast. Beyond her age even. Why can't she stay tiny?

Light Spinner wakes up to a rustle in the bushes nearby. The bushes rarely rustled. It wasn't windy that morning. Light Spinner grabbed a staff, and she crept slowly towards the bush. You watch from the window as she prepares for a fight. You hold Adora in your arms.

When she pokes the bush, nothing comes out. She pokes the bush over and over again. Suddenly, a cat-like creature emerges from the pushes. The cat was only a baby about Adora's size. The baby cat started to whimper. Light Spinner immediately scooped up the kitten and brought her inside.

The kitten curled up in Light Spinner's arm. Light Spinner cuddles with the kitten on the floor. Adora reaches out for the kitten from your arms. You set her down next to the kitten. You watch closely as Adora and the kitten cuddle next to one another.

"So, what do we do with the kitten?" you asked.

"I don't know. She's just a baby. All alone. She doesn't deserve to be out on her own. I say we keep her," Light Spinner replied.

"So, we have a pet now?"

"Um, yes, we do. Was that not obvious?"

"Well. . . I was just asking a clarifying question."

"And I just asked another clarifying question that you have yet to respond to."

"Damn."

Light Spinner laughed. It took you a while to understand this when you first met Light Spinner, but you realized that she liked it when you would act dumb sometimes. However, you couldn't act super dumb all the time because she finds that annoying. You've come to a happy medium between intellect and dumbassery.

Adora and the baby kitten cuddle up like two teddy bears on a shelf.

"So, does the kitten have a name?" you asked.

"If the cat had a collar with a name on it, I would've told you," Light Spinner responded with a hint of sass.

"Okay, so what do we name her?"

"Well, I thought we could call her Kat."

"Okay, that's good, except it sucks."

"How about Katie?"

"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. How about Catra?"

"Catra. I like that. It's very edgy and rhymes with Adora. Let's use it."

"Okay. See, I'm always right."

"Yes, yes."

The two of you sit down with Adora and Catra to play with them. Then without warning, a knock.

Light Spinner takes the same staff she used to poke out Catra to open the door. Since you've been in hiding, she has been overly protective in her own strange and peculiar ways. This being one of them. She opens the door that was camouflaged by a curtain of vines.

Norwyn was at the door.

"Hey, Norwyn. I didn't expect you to drop by today," Light Spinner greeted.

"Well, I thought I might deliver some news on the sorcerers guild. It might benefit you to know," Norwyn started, "What is that?" He was pointing at Catra.

"Kitty!" Light Spinner cheerfully responded.

"Bullshit," Norwyn commented.

"Could you not say words like that in front of our children, please?"

"No."

"Alright. Come on in."

"The sorcerers guild is at a considerable disadvantage without you two around, " Norwyn started as you walked towards him, holding the babies.

"Many of our members have been killed in combat against the Horde in the last few months, and we've replaced so many that now Micah must be on the sorcerers guild. I didn't want to resort to children, but we have no other choice," Norwyn concluded.

Light Spinner's eyes widened when she heard Micah's name. He was one of her most talented students. He was your cousin. He was only fifteen. He didn't deserve to have to fight against the Horde at a young age. You remembered your memories fighting against the Horde. Why must my baby cousin now have to die for Mystacor?

"I hate to say it, but the Horde might capture Mystacor. It's safest for all of you to be out here hiding because we need someone to help fight back when our fight is over," Norwyn started sadly. He walked out the door without saying goodbye.

You and Light Spinner become pale ghosts. Mystacor was one of the most challenging places to capture on Etheria. If the Horde has access to the magic within Mystacor, everyone would be doomed.

You and Light Spinner know that time is of the essence and must help Mystacor in any way that you two can. However, there isn't much you can do without compromising Adora or Catra to the Horde.

Time stands still the rest of the day, and suspense hangs in the air like the baby mobile above Adora's crib.

What do we do?
