9 | Library Finds

After a few hours, you collapsed but still wide awake at the same time, and Light Spinner snored from your side. Everything was peaceful. The darkness of the night left an eerie feeling of wondering what the Horde could do next.

Hell they just attacked Brightmoon and nearly succeeded in getting the moonstone. What else were they capable of?

When the sun rises, you know that it's socially acceptable to get out of bed and go to the library. The library is your comfort place other than at Light Spinner's side. The words blanketed your eye from the passing time, and the spines of the old books were satisfying to the touch. You get lost in the sea if books and waves of information.

"Sweetheart," Light Spinner whispered.

You turn around to look at Light Spinner in her pajamas with her hair still in knots from your thrilling journey the night before.

"Hey, Beatrix. I'm sorry I didn't leave a note for you telling you I was down here," you responded.

"It's alright. I think being with you for twenty years has taught me that this is the only place you go when you need to blow off steam or do other shit."

"Well, I was looking at the properties of rune stones again to see if I missed something the first time around."

"Oh, I see. Do you want any help?"

"I can always use a study buddy."

"Don't ever call me that again. It reminds me too much of magic school."

"Oh, wait what?"

"Yeah, people didn't understand that all I wanted was knowledge and to be able to help people. However, others saw me as power-hungry. I was for a time because my parents wouldn't care about me otherwise, but it's whatever at this point. Now I'm well respected and am in control of my own mind and motivation."

"Oh, I never knew that. I'm so sorry. Others can be so cruel."

"Yeah, I understand. Also, I think I might've found something. In here it says that the rune stones together open the heart of Etheria and possess qualities to bring unity."

"The rune stones opening the heart of Etheria. How do we do that?"

"It doesn't say. All that's here is that uniting the five stones and a failsafe."

"Do you think any of those would be on Mystacor?"

"I don't know. I guess we have to find out."

"Also, we need the rest of the sorcerers guild on board with the princess rebellion. Their knowledge could help us with this task."

"That's brilliant, dear. We must do that. Today. The meeting. It's in an hour. How are we going to convince them?"

"I have an idea."
