Nagito's POV
The sound of a repeated alarm blares into my ears as i turn and struggle to click it off. I open my eyes slightly to check the time, 'it's only 8, I can sleep in for another 5 minutes'. I turn off the alarm and pull the covers over my head, however my mind doesn't allow me to sleep anymore and instead I spend the next 5 minutes worrying if I'll oversleep. At 8:05 I slowly push the covers off of myself and put on a simple black hoodie I've had for years. My feet hit the cold floor and I instantly start to search for some type of fluffy socks. I find a pair I got as a Christmas present a while back and slip them on, getting up to go to the kitchen and make breakfast.
I never make complicated dishes in the morning as it's a waste of time and energy. So instead I make a simple bowl of cereal and warm up water for my decaf coffee, regular coffee makes me light-headed and nauseous. I check social media while eating and as usual find nothing interesting.
By the time I'm finished aimlessly scrolling, my water has heated up and I pour over my coffee. I do my regular morning routine, too tired to style my hair and throw on a pair of basic clothing, nothing that'll make me stand out.
I grab my bag remembering to pack a jacket and umbrella because of the forecasted rain and head out of the door. Because I live on campus, it's not that far of a walk to my college. I'm currently majoring in plant science as a second year which is fun in itself.
I don't easily make friends, as I'm very distant and hard to get along with. I'm fine with that though, it's less work for me and doesn't force me to be someone I'm not.
Stepping into the building, I head to my first class to start the day.Hajime's POV
Since I'm a night person, I've always struggled with getting up on time which causes me to be late to a lot of things. These things include school. I'm currently majoring in journalism and my classes begin at 10 am, which is pretty late but wayy too early for me.
I wake up at exactly 9:50 which is not very new, but surprisingly early for me. And as the realization sets in I start to panic and get dressed. I accidentally put my tan sweater on backwards and quickly grab my bag full of books. As i head out the door and down the elevator I struggle to adjust the sweater but eventually succeed. I check the time on my phone, 'it's only 9:56 okay that's not horrible' I think to myself and I run to catch the train.
Living in an apartment 15 minutes away from my college is very stressful and does not help me whatsoever. If anything I'm more stressed, but I'd rather live by myself than stay on school grounds. I get on the train and fix my hair in my phones camera. I'm a bit late but that's fine, my professors don't expect much from me either way.
I end up entering the classroom over 20 minutes late, and slide into an empty seat careful to not make any noise or draw attention to myself. And with that, my day has already started.
a/n: hiyaa! sorry this chapter is a bit short, i wanted to introduce the characters separately and give a sense of personality behind them. my writing is very sporadic and i just go with the flow so a lot of these chapters will vary between length.
