Nagito's POV

Remembering faces and names was never my top suit which is probably another reason on why people never stuck with me. But something about that boy from earlier just wouldn't leave my mind. He was caring but yet still separated from everyone around him. His presence seemed almost indescribable, but nevertheless I couldn't stop thinking about the way his fingers brushed against mine.

I left the coffee shop a couple of minutes after that strange boy, making my way back to my dorm. The rain had somewhat calmed down and turned into a slight drizzle. With a hood on my head and my bag swinging back and forth, I walked all the way back.

I usually work on Monday's, Wednesday's and Saturdays which meant that I would have to go in tomorrow. I didn't mind it much though, although I did have to take out a book for my biology class.

As I got to the dorm, it was around 7:30 pm and per usual I would spend most of my evening studying or wasting my time watching a show. Everything on TV was boring though, so I relied on studying. I spent the next couple of hours deep into my book and eventually went to bed.

Hajime's POV

I vividly remembered his hand. It was the same one that I saw in the library yesterday and to think that I was never going to see him again.

I wouldn't have recognized him if it weren't for his hands because I wasn't able to catch a glance at him the other day. But I'm sure it was him. His hands were skinny and pale, and as expected, cold. However his hands weren't the only things I saw, I got a clear view at his face. His eyes were almost a shade of blue, but more grey at a glance. And his facial features were sharp but he had a soft jawline. Their face was definitely unforgettable and I honestly could stare at it for hours.

I couldn't stop thinking about him, but I wasn't able to get his name.

However, the rain had eventually stopped as I was walking towards the train. Closing the umbrella, I held it in my hands as I got on and waited for my stop. He did say that I didn't need to return it, but I feel bad taking an umbrella from a stranger without any compensation.

So, I made an internal promise to myself to eventually return it. The one issue was, how?

I knew he worked in the library, but I didn't know what days he worked, or even his name. I'd look stupid if I asked around for a white haired guy with grey eyes. So instead I decided that I would write a note and leave the umbrella with an employee or at reception.

As I got off of the train and started walking back to my apartment, I realized how strange it was to meet the same person twice coincidentally. Maybe it's pure luck? Or possibly just fate. Whichever one it is, I'll make sure it happens again.

Nagito's POV

As always, my alarm has forced me to wake up. I read my clock and think to myself, '8 am on a Wednesday morning. And my shift starts at 10, I guess I have some time to spare'. I could sleep more, but I think i'd be too anxious over the thought of oversleeping. So I decide to get ready for the day, maybe I can even put more effort into my appearance today? Who knows?

Instead of leaving my hair down as usual, I decided that I would tie it up and take some pieces out just to make myself more comfortable.

I looked in the mirror, and for once I think that I looked pretty decent.

I continued my routine, making breakfast, decaf coffee and scrolling through social media. And as usual, nothing interesting.

Life does get pretty boring, but I hope that I can at least find something or someone to make it more interesting.

I checked the time, it was around 9 o'clock which meant that I had at least an hour to spare. And in that hour, I decided to repot some of my plants. I felt that I needed a change in scenery. My dorm is pretty small, so I had limited ideas and space. However after 30 or so minutes I finally finished. It did bring my mood up a bit and made me feel refreshed.

I left my dorm at 9:40 am, and hopped on the train to my job. As I arrived, the city seemed empty as usual but it only made me feel less anxious of possible interactions.

I clocked in and hung up my jacket. I took my apron out from under the reception desk and put it on. As i was adjusting my clothing, I heard the front door open. 'It's strange to have someone come in so early especially since we just opened'  I thought as I left reception and started my usual shift sorting books. There was only one other person on shift with me, and that was a girl named Kyoko. She seemed nice and smart but I had no clue why she had this job. She was very kind and always helped out customers even with the stupidest of questions.

I started sorting and cleaning up in the back as I would eventually move towards the front of the store where there was more interaction.

I heard a similar voice talking to Kyoko in the front of the library. My curiosity took over me and I slowly walked towards the beginning aisles. I saw someone who I vividly remembered, the brown haired boy at the cafe.
