Hajime's POV

The rest of the week went by pretty quickly maybe because I was excited to finally see Nagito again.
I'm not sure whether it was because he interested me as a person, or because he brung some excitement into my life.

I got up at 10:30 am, which gave me a couple of hours before I had to meet Nagito. I got ready as usual, wearing a light green t-shirt with a pair of dark brown pants. I usually don't style my hair anyway because I feel that I'd ruin it and make myself look dumb, so instead I just ruffled and adjusted it. Although I wasn't sure on why I suddenly cared so much for my appearance and got nervous as I finished dressing up.

I quickly left my apartment and headed towards the cafe.

As I got off the train and opened the door to the cafe, the place seemed to be quite busy. It wasn't too loud however and there was outdoor seating. I decided to wait until Nagito came in order to decide where we should sit. 'It's only 1:45, I guess I can walk around the neighborhood and see what's here' I thought as momentarily left the cafe, walking up the block.

I saw a few restaurants and one or two boutiques but nothing that spiked my interest. I decided to go back and wait on the corner.

I looked through my phone for people that I haven't spoken to in a while, and I finally decided to text Kazuichi.

Kazuichi was a pretty ecstatic type of person. He's very jumpy and impulsive but he's always been a distant friend of mine since highschool. So I decided to shoot him a text.

Hajime: Hey what's up Soda! How've you been?

A couple of minutes pass by as expected, Kazuichi either replies within minutes or within days, sometimes months. Surprisingly I get a text back.

Kazuichi: Hey man! I've been alright, just the usual. For once I'm not the first one texting, somethin' up?

Hajime: Nope, just wanted to check in. We haven't spoken since highschool and I was curious on what you're up to.

Kazuichi: You're a pretty weird dude. But I've just been workin'. Hey listen I gotta go, someone just came in with a flat battery. Let's catcj up sometiomea soion alrijghtj?

It appeared as if he was rushing while typing so I don't bother replying since I know he's busy with some mechanic issues. So I leave it at that. I check the time, 'Shit it's already a bit after 2 I'll feel bad if he's there already'. I quicken my pace as I head down back to the corner, where the cafe is located.

Luckily, Nagito isn't there but I spot him walking down the street across from me. It's strange though, he looks down when he walks and not up. Almost as if he doesn't want to meet anyone's gaze.

I put my phone in my back pocket, straightening my shirt and ruffling my hair. He crosses the street and looks up at the cafe. He checks his phone to see the time and I wonder on why he hasn't spotted me yet.

Until he looks at his surrounds and finally places his eyes on me. He gives me a small smile as he walks over.

Nagito's POV

I'm not very good with directions in all honesty, so I try my best to remember the appearance of the cafe I was supposed to meet Hajime at. I cross the street and make sure that I'm at the correct spot. However I dont see Hajime anywhere. That is until I look around at the people near me, and finally see him. Relieved, I walk over.
