Nagito's POV
I finish work earlier than expected and text Hajime as I'm gathering my things. We text about everything and nothing, but yet I still catch myself smiling as I'm leaving.
It's strange for me to feel this way about anyone. Especially Hajime. I wouldn't say it's love necessarily but he makes me flustered whenever I think about him, I feel my heart rate speeding up and I get so incredibly nervous.
I never thought I'd feel this way ever, I've always thought I was unlovable or at least unworthy of love.
I really don't know what interest Hajime has in me but for once in my life, I feel naturally happy.
I get another notification from Hajime and this time he wants to stay over at my place.
We've been seeing each other a lot lately, especially at night, which is pretty new to me since I've never even been in someone else's home after 7 pm.
Meeting Hajime changed a lot for me. I still can't tell whether it's in a good or bad way though.
Anyway, I respond to his text letting him know that he's invited to stay over tonight. He replies with a smily face and tells me he's coming over at 6.
I get home and begin to clean even though my dorm isn't dirty at all, I still don't want it to seem like I'm unclean or I don't care of myself. I knew he wouldn't say that to me, but he always gets such judgmental looks on his face and it's obvious that he's thinking something.
After cleaning and preparing to cook, I feel my phone ringing in my pocket and answer to Hajime's voice on the other side.
"Are you comin down or what? It's freezing cold out here" he says, and I can hear his voice shivering.
"Yea I'm coming down" I say back and race down.
I open the door and he practically falls into my arms. I feel his cold arms hug me, and he burrows his freezing cold face into my shoulder.
"Mmm" he groans, as he stands there hugging me for warmth.
I've never had anyone genuinely hug me but I didn't hate it. It was nice in fact, although I was too shocked to even hug him back. It didn't seem as if he minded though.
After a minute he lets go, his cheeks still a light shade of pink.
He gazes up at me and placed his hand on my face once again. He laughs and says,
"You're always so anxious. Cant you at least calm down with me here?"
"Ah-... I'm.. sorry?" I questionably apologize and feel his hand drop from my face.
"I was just kidding Nagito. I know it takes time to warm up to someone, I don't mind the wait" he smiles at me and motions his head towards the elevator.
I guide him up with me, and we go up in silence.
We reach my dorm room and this time the hallways are empty. I open the door and he follows right behind me, taking off his jacket and shoes and placing them by the door.
"I have food ready if you want it" I said, heading towards the kitchen.
"No no, it's alright! I actually ate before I came because I didn't want you to cook." he replied, sitting down on the small couch.
