Nagito's POV
I awoke with the feeling of Hajime's fingers still gently playing with my hair. His movements were so soft and slow, I almost fell back asleep. However I knew that I couldn't waste this day just sleeping on his chest no
matter how much I wanted to.I tilted my head upwards so that I could clearly face him.
"looks like sleeping beauty finally awoke huh?" he jokes, removing his hand from my hair.
A small whimper escapes from the back of my throat as I long for his comforting touch.
He lets out a laugh and places his hands on my face, moving my chin up so that he could properly look at me. His hands were so warm, and even though I slept on his warm chest, my face was still awfully cold.
I sleepily blink at him trying to keep my eyes focused on maintaining eye contact. But it's so incredibly difficult when all I want to do is memorize ever centimeter of his face.
His mouth curls into a smile as he runs his thumb along my dry lips.
"You're so cute when you're sleepy y'know that?" he asks, letting go of my chin in order to ruffle my messy hair.
Although I still feel tired, I break eye contact with him and place my head back on his chest in order to avoid his gaze. I wouldn't want him to see me getting so flustered over something so simple. But yet I can't help but feel my ears start to burn up.
He lets out a small 'Heh' and tilts his head back. I take that as a sign to let him stretch, so I lift my head off of him and sit up.
He reaches up and stretches, letting out a groan and a yawn in the process.
"Should we plan for our trip?" he asks me, settling back down and crossing his feet on the sofa, turning straight towards me.
"I-I uhm.. Yea.." I manage to say as I look back down at my pants. I still can't believe that he wants to go on a trip with me.. upstate... just the two of us.
The greatest trip I've been on was a class trip in middle school to the Bronx Zoo, and even then I never enjoyed it.
But Hajime seemed so excited when he asked me. Almost as if he actually wants to spend time with me and get to know me better.
"Okay so, I believe we both have break around the same time near the end of December. And we have about a week before we have to catch a bus. That means that I have to get the cabin befor- Nagito, do you by any chance have a laptop or something?" he asks.
"Yea I do, hold on" I reply, getting up from the couch and walking into my room. I grab my laptop from my bedside table, opening it and logging in as I walk back.
I place my laptop on the table and he quickly reaches out to take it and begins vigorously typing.
He sticks his tongue out of the corner of his mouth while deep in thought. And Im suddenly not able to drag my attention away from his mouth.
He's so cute when he's thinking, and he gets so incredibly caught up in things he likes. I find it so inspiring how he's able to drag all his attention to something he really wants.
He finishes typing and turns the laptop towards me.
"How do you like this place? I think it's amazing and perfect for us. Even though we're only staying here for like a couple of days, I wanna make sure everything is perfect." he finishes, a beaming smile on his face.
"It's really nice. I like it" I say, internally beating myself up over how unenthusiastic I sound.
"I'm glad! Okay so I'll call them now and ask how much it is to stay for like 5 days and how we'll get breakfast and the best spots to go, how cold it is and I'll definitely..." his words trail off as I begin to think about this entire situation.
