We been walking for hours following a small trail of fresh blood. Sooner or later we would find another dead body. They suffered way to much blood loss.
"When do you think we will find it?" Jack asked.
"Up ahead probably." I said.I was right. We walked towards a dead body in the middles of the street. It was one of Jonah's men. He lay on the ground with a stab wound in the left shoulder. With our trail gone it was gonna be impossible to find the others. We would have to keep moving. That's when I stopped. I looked down at Timber and looked back to jack. Instantly he grabbed the bag I had and pulled out one of the shirts Sara had worn. He handed the shirt to me and I let Timber sniff it.
"Okay bud, now take us to Sara and the others." I said looking into his Amber eyes.
He pushed past me and started to sniff the ground. We ran and walked for a very long time. Suddenly he stopped. Timber threw his head up in the air and looked to the tree line. He looked scared but he still went. Jack and I looked at each other and grabbed out our guns. We slowly followed him and held our guns up. Cautiously we walked along a small trail. Jack stopped and knelt to one knee. He looked up and motioned for me to come over to him. I slowly walked over and he pointed out a shoe print. It was fresh, and it wasn't any of the groups prints. Someone else was following them. It was to neat to be a zombies print. So it had to be human.
A twig snapped and we started to look around. An arrow shot by Jack and hit me in the left shoulder. I screamed and fell down. Jack helped me to my feet and we ran. Timber was growling and whining. He didn't like what followed us. We didn't either. We kept on running and taking different turns. Once we thought we lost them we sat down. We were panting and sweaty.
"Come here." Jack said holding out his hands to me.
"Why?" I asked.
"Your shoulder, we need to take the arrow out and clean it." He replied.
I nodded and walked over to him. Jack sat me down and took his belt off. He told me to bite onto it. I put it in my mouth and he counted to three. He ripped the arrow out and I almost screamed from the pain. When he finished cleaning it he stitched it was up.
"We need to keep going." He said.
I nodded and we got up. We got back on the trail that the group took and we followed it. They couldn't be that far. They should be right ahead. I kept telling myself. Over and over I would tell myself that and I would say it was true, even though I knew it wasn't. We didn't know if they walked or ran, we didn't know when we would find them, we didn't know where they were. Timbers ears instantly shot up as if he could hear something. He put his head down and stared into the bushes, he started to growl. The bush rustled a bit, then the people came out.Writers note: I'm really sorry I haven't been updating that fast, I've just been really busy. I haven't found the time to write anything.
