I lay there looking up at the ceiling thinking what life would be like if I was the last human in the world. Just the thought made me upset. It would be hard to survive. Zombies could come from behind me and kill me easily, or I could get stuck in the middle of them.
I tried to sleep but I couldn't. Today my life would have been lost. If this wolf didn't trust me I would have been dead. It was much easier. He needed a name, I didn't like calling him just a wolf.
"Hey bud, I'm gonna give you a name, alright?" I said stroking his head. "how about Timber, you know because your a timber wolf."
Timber looked up at me then licked my cheek. I took it as a yes and called him Timber. His eyes were beautiful someone could easily get hypnotized. One was blue, and one was green. All I could do was stare at them. I looked even closer and noticed someone was standing behind me. I instantly shot up and turned around. My sister was standing there staring at us.
"Timber, that's cute." She said petting his back.
"Yeah, I love him, he's like the pet I've never had, but that's because mom was allergic to dogs and cats." I said.
We laughed and played with him.
I walked my sister to her room and hugged her goodnight. It felt like the first time we ever talked. We never talked anymore and now we actually did.
I walked to the couch and sat down. Tonight I'm gonna be on watch just for the hell of it. I grabbed a gun and walked onto the roof Timber came with me. I sat up there looking around watching as animals walked around it was nice.
I sat up there for at least an hour. There was a few yelps far away. The sun was rising slowly. I watched the sunrise and enjoyed the different colours. It was a sight I thought I would never have a time to enjoy. That all changed when I heard a noise from behind me on the roof.
