Chapter 14

"OPEN UP!" Jonah shouted. "Those people in there are the ones who let the zombies in."

I froze, they were the reason we all turned on each other. They were the ones that got my family killed. I started to reach for the doorknob when I felt a hand pull it away. The women whipped me around then looked at me.

"How do you know he won't kill you guys too?" She asked.

"The back door, lets go." I whispered.

They all headed there, we ran outside and ran down the road. The house faded in the distance as we ran away. All I could hear was Jonah yelling, and slamming the doors.

We started to walk around and headed to the forests. It was all good and clear, there was nothing in here. There were no zombies walking around no dead animals and not even a single bug. Everything seemed to be gone.

There were some nice clear areas we could have stayed in, but we kept walking. We were walking around looking for a place we could stay the night. Everywhere we went no one felt safe enough.

We finally came to a spot we could stay at. I sat on the ground and looked at everyone. They all seemed sore and tired. I didn't blame them I was too. I laid on the ground and then fell asleep. When I woke up everyone was screaming.

There were zombies, they were eating some of the people and running to us. When I looked over I saw Taylor. He was staring at his arm. I knew why too, he was bit. He looked up at me and turned. Instantly he sprinted towards me. I was knocked down and bit. Soon they were all on me. Then Taylor looked up at my face.

"Amber wake up, you're still asleep, it's been a long time." Taylor said.

"Amber please wake up!" Sara pleaded.

Soon everyone was around me and kept telling me to wake up. I got very scared since I had no clue what they were talking about. They all stared at me and cried. Soon they all told me to wake up. They kept and chanting it over and over again. Then everything stopped, nobody was here. Slowly my eyes opened, and soon I was back at the cabin.
