Survival 2

Chapter 7

I slowly turned around. Timber was standing and growling. A familiar face popped up and I saw who it was. Taylor walked towards me. He had a plate with food on it and a dog bowl with some raw meat. He handed us our food and joined us.

"Sure is pretty." Taylor said.

"Yeah, thanks for the food.'' I said as he got up and walked away.

Timber and I ate as we watched the sun rise. Out in the distance I could see a couple of zombies not that many though. They just shuffled around and went separate ways. It was funny the way they smashed into stuff. They acted like they didn't care about anything.

I stood up and walked back inside. Timber came and played with the kids while we cleaned up the food. Deep inside I knew we would probably have to leave this place. It happened every time. The worst part was Sara was a month pregnant and she was getting really emotional. If I could I would kill her, she's always moody then she pretends it never happened. If she keeps this up Taylor's also in trouble.

We finished our supply of food, so I decided I would head to town today. It would be hard because there was no gas in the truck. There had to be something around here maybe there was a car in the garage.

I walked to the garage and watched all directions. When I reached I noticed that there was a lock on it and I couldn't get in. Obviously someone didn't want us to get in. Sooner or later we were gonna find out why. When we break off the lock we are gonna have to be ready. Anything could come out or nothing could. I turned around and walked in the house.

"Guys, the garage has a lock on it." I told them.

"So, we can break it and get in." Lexi said.

"No, we don't know what's in there, I need you guys to cover me." I said getting frustrated.

"Why don't you just get the dog to help, huh?" Sara snarled.

I looked at her then walked away. Lexi and the guys followed behind me. We walked to the garage and they covered me. I shot at the lock and it shattered. The only thing I saw was movement at the back then everything went black.
