"I-I don't know." I said.
"Please, they ruined everything, they got your parents kill, please, just help us." Jonah pleaded.
"What if it wasn't them, what if it was someone else, like a kid wanting to see what was past the gates, or maybe one of the people that went on a food run didn't secure them properly, or maybe it was you but you don't want to accept that fact and you're trying to blame other people." I insisted.
"Are you gonna help or not?" Jonah asked.
"I don't know, just let me decide." I said sternly.

I got up and walked outside. It was cold out, and the leaves on the trees were turning different colours. I walked towards one of the houses and looked up at it. In the window was a silhouette of a person. Then they motioned for me. Slowly I walked up to the door. I opened it and peered inside, I saw no one. Then I walked in. I climbed the stairs and saw no one, so I searched the house. There was no one here. Then I heard a voice. It was a girls voice.

"Hello!" I shouted, "Is someone here?"
A laugh.
"Where are you?" I asked.
Then silence.

I slowly backed out of the house then I turned around. In front of me stood a girl. She was around my age. There were cuts all over her.

"What's your name?" I asked cautiously.
"Alex." She said.
"Do you have a group?" I asked.
"No, they, well they died." She said.

I put my hand on her shoulder then we walked to Walmart. When we entered nobody was here. We searched everywhere for them. She motioned me over to the window and pointed at people. There I saw Them. They were coming back. I noticed that someone was missing. There use to be twelve of them, but now there was eleven. One of Jonah's men were gone.

"Where were you guys?" I asked them.
"You were gone so we went after the people." Jack answered.
"What happened to the other guy?"
"He also let the infected in." Jonah said.
I nodded then looked down.

There was a bloody handprint on the ground. The way it looked was disturbing. It looked like someone was dragged. I looked closer at it and realized it was too small to be one of ours. It looked like a child's hand. I never noticed it before, and it looked fresh. I touched it and when I looked at my hand the blood was still wet. It was fresh, and if that was fresh than someone or something was here. Then there was a bang at the other side of the store.
