Eunseong descended from heaven and flew her way to the familiar rooftop. Upon landing on the cold floor, she waited for the demon to greet her with a bright smile. Weirdly enough, there was no high-pitched laughter filling the atmosphere, it was all too silent to her dismay, something was definitely off. She called out her name, inching closer to Yuki's shelter in the process. It was so unusual for her to have overslept, not when she was undoubtedly anticipating to spend this day with her last night before parting.
Approaching Yuki's bed, Eunseong overheard a sniffling sound under the bumped blanket. "Yuki, are you crying?" The older was genuinely worried since it was a rare occasion for her to shed tears without any concrete reason. "No," Yuki voiced out faintly. The angel plopped her butt on the edge, unraveling the blanket. The demon couldn't conceal her feelings anymore, she scooted closer and buried herself in the older's arms.
"Which demon do I need to teach a lesson?" Eunseong cuddled her with the addition of her wings to provide more warmth. Yuki believed she was currently the safest in this position, the thought of letting go never crossed her mind. She faced up, making eye contact with the angel. Eunseong gently wiped away the droplets of tears invading her squish-able cheeks. "What will happen to me in the future? Will I be punished for my sins? I'm scared, I don't want to be away from you."
Eunseong soon caught on where this was coming from, she must have been overthinking about yesterday's incident and applied it to her existence as someone with Lucifer's blood running inside. Truth to be told, Eunseong had no idea what awaited angels and demons at the end of their journey knowing they were immortal. She never really put an effort to figure it out but now that the latter mentioned it, a tint of fear for the unknown clenched her heart. What would be of Yuki? What would be of them?
Flustered but not wanting to worsen the younger's already jumbled mind, she unlocked a new subject. "You know, I never called you evil, you marked yourself as one." Yuki remained calm in her clutch, silently waiting for Eunseong to proceed. "Everything originated from your heart, it's just that the circumstances told you otherwise. From my eyes, you have the purest heart, even beating all my fellow angels. Sometimes I would think to myself, maybe you're an angel that got kidnapped or Lucifer got himself into a relationship with an angel when he created you."
Eunseong released the dangling girl and stood up, flapping her wings aside. "Let me show you something, hop on." Yuki rubbed her heavy orbs then climbed to her back. "Thanks." The older chuckled, quite bewildered from the sudden show of gratitude. "Thanks for teaching me, thanks for consoling me, thanks for being my friend." Eunseong turned mushy again for the demon. "You're always welcome."
