Eunseong and Yuki stayed silent along the way. They were each immersed in the moment, watching the mountains, cities, seas, and every living thing present on the Earth's surface. Without any knowledge of what the future planned for them, the world felt like theirs and theirs only. Once again, the sun needed to say its farewell, leaving the sky to darken alone. Everything will finally come to an end and everyone will have their own ending. Happy or sad, it's all up to the main character living their life to decide.
A fireball came out of nowhere knocking down Eunseong's balance. The two were flabbergasted in midair, trying to stick together. They stumbled down on the grass field, rolling after one another. Yuki fixed herself roughly and crawled her way to the angel who was having a hard time maintaining her consciousness. Arriving at her side, the demon caught the white wings slowly burning to ash as the flame spread.
They weren't alone, a flock of demons came down tugging their wings. Showing no hints of kindness, they approached the pair with menacing glares. Yuki pushed her little body to stand before the angel to protect her. The demons let out an ear-piercing laugh, mocking them for their pathetic relationship. War was coming sooner than they imagined. With her tear-stained face, Yuki didn't budge her roots.
Her kind never gave mercy to anyone. One of them blasted another attack, directing it to her. A second was all that it took to knock her down. The strong offense left her helplessly laying on the ground, fire surrounding them with no more chance of survival. The demons fled from the scene, leaving the two beings to reminisce their last breaths together. Yuki forced out her last bit of energy to inch closer until she could feel Eunseong's weak body.
She embraced the older in a hug which the angel returned too. "I live a happy life with you, don't blame yourself. Let's go see the unknown together." Eunseong whispered to her, comforting them in their last moment. "Thank you," Yuki muttered quietly. Slowly and slowly, their physical form gave up, the last breath was puffed out. Death may seem scary for it came so sudden. It's an end to someone's journey. But let's take it as something to appreciate everything you've done in this world.
It's so simple yet so complicated. You're born, you live your life as you, you reach the end and you die. That's the only cycle that's inescapable for any beings. Live your life to the fullest. Spread happiness for you and everyone around you. Be proud and grateful for who you are. Thank you for existing.
END.
