The massive white wooden door unlocked automatically, showing an angel soaring to the outside civilization. Eunseong exited from the heaven's main palace with a torn feeling. She was summoned by the archangel after her usual routine to be given a warning which had taken a toll on her. It wasn't a matter of trust anymore, suddenly lives were at stake. The unexpected came, wrecking her peaceful and contentful existence. This burdened her in a thousand ways, how was she going to cut ties with her little demon friend.
"A news about fallen angels planning to invade heaven has erupted. Spiritual warfare isn't a thing anymore, they're going straight for our necks. If they found a way to get into our home, we're all dead meat. Therefore, all angels are obligated to avoid any interaction with demons for safety reasons. Even your small demon friend has the potential to be their messenger, stay away from her, or else we have to take actions ourselves."
Meeting Yuki was a blessing for her, a rightful meeting between two different beings that many would simply call destiny as cheesy as it sounded. Everything about them and their bond just felt so perfect but then she pondered, were there any flaws behind the so-called perfection. The girl had the most pure and fragile heart she ever know but was that just a disguise all along. Eunseong had put in her whole faith to Yuki but was her judgment wrong.
Eunseong unconsciously dragged herself to her usual comfort spot. The infinite light reflected on the water surface shone on her. Lowering her stance, she made contact with the soft ground below. The angel closed her eyelids, taking a deep breath and puffing it out, relieving a few thoughts. Upon looking around the lake edges, she caught a familiar face dozing on a bench. Eunseong didn't know that angels could undergo hallucinations yet she still advanced nearer.
The first thing her mind led was to poke the girl's nose, which resulted in the latter snorting quietly. Eunseong then peeked under the cloth covering her hair, revealing her biggest fear the moment a pair of tiny horns were visible. What in sacrilegious violin was Yuki doing in heaven? She shook her head in disbelieve, denying any suspicions that sneaked in. Eunseong was too exhausted mentally, lowkey fearing what will occur to them in near future. The angel only lazily sat down beside the younger, wrapping a wing to cover the demon. Deciding not to add more weight, she let herself drowned in her sleepiness.
