"We will. Do you mind if we rest, though?" I asked.

"That sounds like a great idea. I need a jacuzzi and the world's strongest soap to get this smell off of me." Harley said while sniffing herself and making a voice.

I couldn't help but laugh and walked with her to my room to let her use my jacuzzi tub and gave her some bubble bath to help with the smell. After closing the door behind me, I went back to Loki's room and started to strip down and jumped into the shower. I sighed softly as I let the heat wash over me.

It was hot down there, but the thoughts that were forced in my head made me feel unfaithful. I don't think of anyone else, but the fact that Hela could make me think that Loki was lying to me didn't sit right in my heart. I trusted him more than anything and would defend him to anyone, so why did it seem so easy for the thoughts to be pushed in like that?

I scrubbed my skin until it was red from the scrubbing and the hot water. I cried softly and hoped I could hide any possible signs of my tears. After stepping out, I wrapped a towel around me and my hair and looked at myself in the mirror.

"Are you okay, kitten?" Loki asked softly as he came up behind me. "What happened down there?"

"I'm sorry, Daddy, I was too weak to go down there and it's my fault we were spotted." I told him quietly.

"Kitten, it's not your fault. It was a risk no matter what and you were strong down there. You were ready for anything and didn't falter once."

I nodded slowly and took my hair down once I found my brush. "It's really warm in here.." he pointed behind his ear and I realized he was keeping himself cool with the device so he could be in here with me.
"Abby.." he turned me around and made me look at him. "You were scared. What happened?"

"I don't want to go back there. Ever." I whispered. "She put thoughts in my head. Horrible ones and I just wanted to break." He smoothed my hair and didn't speak. I knew he wanted me to tell him, he wouldn't force himself into my mind. "I had to force myself to remember that I knew the truth. She was trying to get me to believe that you.." I couldn't even finish the sentence, feeling horrible about the whole thing.

"That I have been lying?" I nodded and let a tear fall again. "I would never do that to you, I promise. Of all the beings I have met or ever will, you are the only one I have ever loved the way I love you."

"I know, Daddy. I do, and that's why I'm so upset with myself." He gave me a puzzled look and I could tell he wanted to question me about that. "I will always stay by your side, I know that you've been honest with me, so why was it so easy to let the thoughts come into my mind."

He smiled a little and pulled me closer. "Kitten, it wasn't. Do you want to know how she knew we were there?" I nodded a little. "She has full control down there with every soul, she could get into Harley's mind easily - and trust me, that was a pretty bad thing to see. You, however, I could sense the tension. You didn't falter the way you think you did."
"I didn't?"

He shook his head and led me back to our bed. I wasn't ready to get dressed and at this point I just wanted to feel close to him. Tomorrow our guests would return home and I'd start fixing up my room for us, but that felt like ages from now. I couldn't see how I wouldn't feel absolutely awful about this and I had hoped that he really wasn't upset with me. Everyone else tried to keep him down and I never wanted to be one of them.

I looked up to him and kissed him softly. "I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too, Kitten. And I promise, I will never leave your side."

I smiled widely and kissed him again as we held each other close. I knew the truth, he really was here to stay no matter what. I took the towel off and slipped under the covers; I was oddly cold but didn't want to leave the embrace any longer than absolutely needed to. I needed him more than ever and he was here with no complaints.
