"Kitten, I am so happy you're here." Loki said with a smile as he lead me out to the gardens. "Are you enjoying yourself?"

"Yes, Daddy, I am." I said happily. We were both dressed as we were expected to be on Asgard, though I couldn't remember getting here or why we were here. As I looked around, it looked as though there was a celebration to be had. Was the army returning from victory?

Thor came over to us with a huge smile, apparently knowing something that we did not know yet. "Ah, sister! Mother and Father are awaiting you and the news you bring. They will be so joyous to know you have decided to stay."

I gave him a confused look. Loki and I never agreed to stay permanently. We weren't even married yet and I wanted to be able to still see my family.

"News? Thor, we've been planning our wedding for almost a month, I highly doubt that warrants news. Besides, Frigga has been helping so she definitely knows!" I said, still completely confused.

Both Loki and Thor looked at me as though I had grown a second head, but I didn't get a chance to question them as Odin and Frigga walked out of the palace. The two walked with such grace and their auras warranted the respect they deserved.

"There has been no change yet, My son. It's only been a few hours." Odin said, completely out of character for him. Change? What change?

"Father, please, tell me she will be okay."

"Only time and her strength will tell. She's fighting, but she's content as well."

I looked between them and just as I blinked, I was in Loki's and my quarters, being fitted for a new robe with a rounded belly. The handmaiden was all smiles as she checked my size and laid out new robes for me.

"What's going on?" I asked. "What were Loki and Odin just speaking about?"

She laughed a little as she stood. "What do you mean, your highness? Our king and Prince Loki have been on Midgard all day to give your father an update on this one's progress."

I looked at her confusingly and returned my stare to the mirror in front of me. Shit, it looked as though I was a few months pregnant, maybe even close to the end. But that was impossible. I was just in the gardens with everyone and I knew there was no way I was pregnant. We had talked and Loki agreed to letting me continue to take my birth control until we were ready. He wasn't pleased that it was more chemicals being put into my body, but he also understood that I wasn't ready for a child. Shit, just look at what happened to me and it wasn't like I had the best childhood to show me how to raise a child.

My parents barely talked and I was a one night stand baby. I always worried something like that would happen to me or when I did finally decide to get pregnant that I would drive the father away. When Loki and I got together and started to become sexual, the last thing I wanted was for that to change. I loved him too much to risk having anything drill a hole between us.

"I guess sometimes the last few months seem like they went by so quickly." I said absently.

"Well, the first six months always do. And Queen Frigga has been keeping an extra eye on you. She's very excited for her first grandchild." The handmaiden said happily before there was a knock on the door.

"There's my daughter in law! How are you and the young doing today?" I hesitated for a moment, still trying to figure out what was going on. "Leave us, please." She said to the handmaiden.

"The sleep can affect her in ways that it doesn't your father, Loki." She said calmly, resting a hand on my shoulder. "She's strong, but we don't know what this stuff is."
