Mileias POV

As we walked from the field the other three girls seemed to have somewhere to be. Not really minding I bid my goodbye before Annabeth made her way over to me, her short redish hair flowing softly in the little wind, "some performance" she spoke as we walked side by side towards the main building that held the dorms, "wasn't it?" I chuckled with a soft sigh, it was highly unusual for Ben to have done that, Of course I'm not complaining but... It'd be wrong to not question the sudden change of behaviour, he wouldn't hurt Audrey like that or anyone. No matter who they were or what they did. Annabeth had seen my expression falter as I continued pondering in my mind, "don't overthink it. You could-" I cut her off having heard the same sentence over and over again times before, "create scenarios that aren't bound to be true and go digging for an answer that doesn't exist. I know."

The conversation had seemed to stop there as we entered the building, the hallways bustling with students talking about the game. Both our team winning and the surprising end performance. We had caught the eye of a few people, more so close to everyone, oh boy. Jane and a few other girls strutted straight up to us, with new looks it seems, oh Jane. "That wasn't exactly the nicest thing to do you know? Ben seriously hurt Audrey's feelings" "you're just as heartless as you are villainous" "disgusting". The comments came and go, was it really that bad? Sure I didn't like Audrey but I really didn't want her to be hurt, heart break can be so painful but I expected from the way her and Chad were acting that she was over it quickly. Before they could get any more words out Annabeth stepped forward putting her finger on Jane's chest, "back it up Bibbity Boo, it's not our fault Ben had a change of heart" she growled with a glare that sends them backing away, not without shooting a harmless glare at us both. The tension in the room disbursed as everyone scurried to do their own thing.

Annabeth seemed to have dragged me back to my dorm room before closing the door and sliding her back down it, "People" she groaned putting her head in her hands. She was never good with people, I understand. Walking over to the small table sat in the middle of the room I picked up a book, it was our history book. Huh, wasn't mine though. Must've been Frankie's, shrugging I put it back down before turning to see Annabeth standing up, "I best get going now, things to do, people to see. Blake to annoy" she chuckled lightly after the Last few words. Smiling at her I gave her a nod as she opened the door giving a small wave before disappearing. Walking over to my bed I laid down stretching, it will be a drag of a year. I felt my eyes get heavy as I closed them and let sleep take over my form.
