I looked out the window of the room, the forest which surrounded the castle looked utterly eerie. No signs of any movement, just a still, beautiful forest under the night sky.

I sighed and walked towards the bed, drying my hair with a towel. I just took a shower and i really feel refreshed. It's like all the tense muscles relaxed under the water, taking away my tiredness. I was wearing a sweatshirt with a hood and sweatpants. The room was illuminated by candle lights and I can feel the cold wind coming from the window, making the curtain waver.

I folded the sleeve of my left hand upto elbow to see the wound on my elbow, it still stings, maybe I should apply some ointment on it. I looked at my palms and it had scratches on it, maybe I got it during work? Or while using odm gear? Who knows.

Ever since I was a trainee, my body had many scratches or wounds, and at this point it really doesn't matter anymore if those wounds don't bother me while using the gear.

I sat up from bed and walked towards the bathroom to put the towel for washing and headed towards the door.
I peeked out from the door and looked right and left to see a clear corridor.

No one spotted, Bingo!

I stepped out and went down the stairs.

I walked around the corridor of the old castle, trying to find the room from where I can get the ointments but didn't find anything even after fifteen minutes of search.

Let's just leave it as it is.

It doesn't matter anyways, it's just a wound.

I went towards the main door. I don't think I can sleep so a little walk outside won't hurt? Right?

I stopped on the track when I realized what I was about to do.

People don't sneak from the main door, dumb me. I mentally slapped myself. If I went out from here that will clearly mean I'm inviting an angry Hange or even worst an angry grumpy Levi to kill me. I spinned on my heels and went to look for any other exit.

"Finally.!" I sighed. I made outside the castle. It was a headache to find the exit since the castle was really like a maze.

The cold wind hit my face, brushing my hair, sending shivers down my spine. I put the hood on and started strolling the area. There wasn't much trees close to the castle, it was mostly a clear land with shrubs and plants with countable trees. I looked at a little distance to see the forest surrounding the castle, the woods look utterly scary, it is covered with mist giving it a haunted feeling.

What if a ghost came out of the woods? Or worst a vampire?

I quickly brushed the thought away from my mind.

Without thinking further, i strolled around the area, taking in the fresh air. The stars covered the sky, the only source of light was the moon shining brightly. It was so beautiful. I put my hands inside the pockets of the sweatshirt, it was quite chilly.

I walked towards the stables to look at the horses. I don't want to disturb them so I didn't went near them, and looked from the distance. As I was turning around to go back inside, i heard a little sound from somewhere. I stopped on my track.
