"One.. two.. three.. let's go!" Your right hand was stacked on your friends' hands, while you stood in a circle, facing eachother. You felt a ray of sunlight reflected as you all raised your hands together, smiling at eachother.

Oh these smiles! You can't even express how much you adore their smiles. How much you adore each one of them.
You were nervous, you felt a familiar feeling in the pit of your stomach.
You felt it every time before an expedition, knowing the possibility that some of you wouldn't make it back.
But you masked that feeling behind your poker face.

This has became a routine for you and your friends, to come together before an expedition and stack your hands on eachother for a cheer. To tell eachother that each one of you would do your absolute best to survive.

You made your way to the stables to get your grey stallion. You patted his head, and he flared it's nostrils in response.
You took his reins and went towards your squad, ready to go out for your duty, your duty as a soldier.

The atmosphere was serious, no one talked. Everyone occupied in their own business and so did you. You hopped on Tannie, the name was cute opposite to his personality. He was mostly furious, with a bad temper but was obedient to you. Being with him for four years already, you got a great liking for him and judging by his behavior so does he.

You were lined up in front of the gate of the wall, along with your respective squads.

This is it!

You grabbed the green piece of clothing, your cape, with your plams and put the hood over your head.
The Wings of freedom on the back of your cape, waved along with the wind.

"Humanity is now about to take another step forward!" You heard a loud shout and with that, the wall started moving upwards.

"Forward!" Erwin voice echoed around the place.

You took a deep breathe and kicked your stallion slightly as a gesture to start moving, your hands clutched the reins tightly and with that your stallion ran with you on top, talking with the wind.

Time Skip

You flicked the rope back and tighten it around the branch. You step back a little, and rechecked it. You were setting the equipments and traps on the tree, in the forest.

The support squad covered the others through the old city and from the titan territory, the whole corps relyed on Commander Erwin's formation. All the squads were scattered in their respective wings alloted by the Commander. And Hange's squad went straight for the forest and you were now fixing equipments for whatever plan Erwin had.

You knew for a fact that Erwin was gambling again. And on the route, you saw many red singles indicating your comrades were fighting titans all along.

"Y/N!" You looked up to the source of the voice to find Hange gesturing you to come up to the tree branch, where she was standing along with Erwin.

You shot up at the branch and landed beside Hange. "Yes Captain?"

"Take control of these high traps here." she said gesturing towards them, her messy ponytail swayed because of wind. She had a poker face and you knew she was calculating the situation in her mind.

You nodded.

"Are we gonna trap a titan, maybe an abnormal..?" You questioned looking around, your eyes roaming around all the comrades who were trying to fix the equipments.
