Chapter 15: Dangerous Turf
"So I was right?!!" I smile at the lunch table."Sorta. He kissed me, blah blah. He has a really sad back story thoughts." Lilly explains.
"Hello ladies." Someone says behind us. We turn in sync, seeing that it was Duke and Kyle. Duke was another football player, and Kyle's best friend.
I sigh, and I see Lilly tapping her foot nervously. I smile to that. "Hey Kyle, Duke." Lilly nods.
Kyle sits next to Lilly, Duke next to me. they start engaging in a conversation. Thanks Lilly. "Why are you here?"
"In case Kyle needed backup."
"For what? He already has Lilly head over heels for him." I say, narrowing my eyes.
"Seriously?" His eyes widen.
I was about to say something, but Kyle got up, and so did Duke. "Bye!" Lilly waves. Something's up, and I'm determined to find out. But I'll need someone.
Hunter.

"Hey, whatcha up to?" Hunter asks me.
"I need your help." I pull him to a darker hallway. First mistake.
"Whoah, okay sorry, but I can't help you on all this!" He motions his hands over my face, and my jaw dropped.
"Hunter!" I smack his chest. "No, I want you to see if Kyle Russ and Duke West are doing anything fishy to Lilly."
"Kyle? Of course he's up to something!" Hunter chuckles.
"Hunter please, I don't want to see my friends heart getting crushed." I plead him, racing through his eyes.
"You really care about her, eh?"
"Of course I do! She's my best friend." I examine his face. Then I glance at his lips. Second mistake. "Promise?"
"Ahhh, but I need something in return."
"If your asking for a booty call, anything else....please!"
"No, I want a massage. A back massage to be more exact, I've been pretty tight." he chuckles.
"What? Like right now?" I ask, totally sounding like a stupid dumbo.
"No, later. Are you free tonight?"
"Are you asking me to your house...again?! I swear, I've been there more times than my actual house." I giggle.
"My mom wants you over for dinner. I don't know why, but I'm not arguing."
"Fine, your family loves me anyways."
"And we need to work on that damn project....I don't know anything about you, Brooklyn." He says, slowing down when he says my name.
"Sure." I look down. "But promise you'll looking into it?"
"I promise." He says, glancing at my lips. "What class are you going to?"
God, shoot me now, because lord knows what my next class has to be. "Chemistry." I mutter.
"Wow, could this be any more cliche?" He chuckles.
"God, just kiss me already."
"Who said anything about kissing?" and there goes the bell....and what respect I had.
* * * * *
"Hey Dona." I hug the kind lady. "Michael." I greet the dad.
"It's you again." One kid walks up to me.
