Pretty ironic, the title of this chapter, bc I have a story called The Saviors. Aha carry on
Chapter 6: He's My Savior
"Want me to drive you home?" Hunter asks as Orion, the last person to leave, pulls out of the driveway."Can I talk to your mom, for a second?"
"Sure. She's probably in her office." He walks me through his yet-to-be-ventured house.
"Hey, Mrs. Samuels." I smile at the kind lady.
"Please, just call me Dona." She offers me to sit down.
"I don't want to go home, I'm scared." I look around anxiously.
"You can stay here, there's no question about that, sweetheart." She smiles. "You can sleep in the guest room, just ask Hunter where it is."
"What do I say to him?"
"Say that your house is under repair."
"But that's lying. I want to tell him, but I'm scared to. He's got lots of power of practically everyone on earth."
"Tell him when your ready. I never raised my son to be that person." She says.
"Thank you a lot Mrs. Sa- Dona. It really means a lot." I laugh at my mistake.
"Anytime, Brooklyn." Then I walk out.
"Hunter?"
"Yeah?" He rounds the corner, scaring me like shit. He chuckles. "Are you staying?"
"Yeah, your mom told me to ask about your guest room?"
"Oh, come on." He leads me. It was downstairs. No way I can do that.
"I, I can't do that, Hunter." I stutter. It was creepy down here.
"You scared?" He chuckles.
"Yes. Yes I am, I would probably die in my sleep here."
"Awe, okay. Let's see what else we have." He walks up the stairs, and I follow, almost killing myself by tripping over his pants. Damn being small. "There's always my room." He says with a relatively straight face.
"Ummm..." I look around his room.
"I'll take the floor."
"I don't want to do that, I'll take the floor if any thing. You've done way too much for me already." I ramble on.
"Brooke, it's okay. Really." He smiles. "But it's only 9:30, and this is my house. We don't fall asleep this early. Wanna watch a movie?"
"Sure."
"What kind? Horror, chick flick, action adventure, horror?"
"Disney?" I add in, giggling.
"How about one Disney, and one horror?"
"Hunter, I hate horror."
"That's the point." He chuckles.
"Fine." I give in. What's the worse that could happen?
First we watch Tangled. I sang the songs, and Hunter just stared at me in amazement. I just laugh, and keep singing.
Then it was horror time. We watch some movie, I'm not even sure what it's called. During part of it, I crawl onto the floor with Hunter, and cover my face into him. He chuckles, but holds me. "Hunter, I don't like this." I say, as one person gets slaughtered.
"Want to turn it off?" He asks.
"Please?" I look up to him in fright. He smiles, then turns it off. "Night time."
We get settled in, and I feel guilty about leaving him on the floor, but I totally forget about it when I fall asleep.
"Push her in!" It was Kevin. There were a lot of people around, and we were on the docks. He walks towards me, and shoves me in. "You worthless piece of shit!"
I'm drowning. There are weights attached to my feet, and I'm descending quickly. Just about as fast as I am loosing air. It's like it's never ending.
When will I die? Just to get the pain over with.
Then suddenly someone dives into the water. I couldn't see who it was, because I was about to die, as my vision was fading. But whoever it was, was saving my life.
"Brooklyn!" Someone shakes me. My eyes shoot open, and I'm in an unfamiliar room. I look around, until I remember where I am. There's a lamp on, and Hunter is hovering over me. His eyes are scared. "You scared the shit out of me." He hugs me tightly.
"What happened?" I ask, dumbly.
"You were fidgeting, and not breathing. I tried waking you, but damn your a heavy sleeper. Then I poured water on you, and you fidgeted even more."
Maybe that's where I got the water.
He hugs me again. "I need a breather." I sit up. He sits next to me, on the bed. Siting dangerously close. Ugh, why does he do this?!
You know that feeling where in the out of your stomach, there's a knot? Well I've been trying to fucking untie it for the past week, and I can't!
"I'm hungry." I say, as my stomach growls. Hunter chuckles, then gets up.
"I'm pretty sure everyone is sleeping, so we can sneak downstairs, and get some food?" He smirks. I nod. This sounds fun.
We start to head out, but it is when I fucking fall, and when he picks me up, I realize...he's shirtless.
And he's holding me!
I hold onto his neck, while he manages to descend down the stairs like a mouse. We reach the kitchen, and he sets me on the counter. I can't help but to stare at his incredible back muscles while he reaches for the bowls as cereal.
When he faces me, I accidentally trail my eyes down his body. Two words.
Hot. Damn.
"Stop ogling at my body, and eat up." He hands me a cereal bowl, and I take it.
"I wasn't checking you out. I was...examining that thing on your chest." I giggle, even if there wasn't anything. He looks down, then frowns when he looks back at me.
"What?"
"You don't see it?" I go along with the joke.
"The fuck? Where is it, Greene?" He looks again. I jump down from the counter, and step towards him. I hear his breathing hitch.
Even if my heart was beating faster than a race car's, I tried to play it cool.
"Right there." I poke the center of his chest. He looks all around my face, and smiles. "You're too cute." he ruffles my hair, then we go to the counter to eat our...midnight meal.
Awwwww. Literally I want to find a Hunter sometime in my life. Like please. Anyways, does anyone's interested in like helping me write this???? Idek
