Chapter 28: Battle Scars
"Brooke!" Lilly says over the phone. "You two are adorable!!"

"Awe, thanks girlie. How are you and Levi?" Hunter and I are driving somewhere, but he rented a truck, and bought some stuff that I can't know about.

"We're good. He totally beat the shit out of Kyle though. Kyle and I were working on our project, and Levi came without me knowing. Kyle was trying to get at me, and Levi beat him up."

"Wow. Such a Levi move. Has he tried to like do anything with you?"

"Maybe." Her voice goes up an octave. I smile. "What about Hunter?"

"I don't know?" I say, but she knew that meant probably. "How's the rest of the gang? How's Orion holding up, being single and all."

"Aha, he's fine. Devin and Tara are getting more serious than ever. Orion told me that he walked in on them fucking each other."

"Dayum." I giggle. "I got to go, but I'll let you know when I'm coming over."

"Wait, before you go. Are you having Christmas with me or Hunter? Or who?"

"I don't know." I sigh. "I'll talk to you later."

"Bye B."

"See ya Lillypad." And I hang up. "can you please tell me where we are going?" I look at Hunter? He just looks at me, smirking.

"Nope."

"Please?" I give him the puppy face. We stop at a red light, and since Hunter had gotten an SUV with tinted windows, he just leaned over the counsel, cupped my chin with his finger, and kisses my lips softy.

"Not today, cupcake." He shakes his head. "Fall asleep, time will go faster."

"I want you to cuddle with me though." I look at him, sort of sad. He looks back at me, and grabs my hand, and kisses the top of it.

"It's okay." He keeps kissing it, even while he's driving. "Just sleep."

I ended up actually sleeping. And when I woke up, I was wrapped up in the arms of none other than Hunter Samuels.

I lift my body up, and saw we were in the back of the car. I pinch my eyebrows together. We were surrounded by trees. "Morning cupcake." Hunter says with a groggily voice. It was quite sexy. It even gave me shivers.

"Hey." I say looking back at the messy haired, bad boy. "I realized I don't have any nicknames for you."

"Yeah, c'mon cupcake." He teases. I stick my tongue out at him, and he reaches up, actually biting my tongue.

"Hunter!" I screech.

"That's my nickname? Hunter? Come on, Greene bean." He sits up, then he pinches my hips. I jerk back, I ball my fists.

"You're going to get it, Babe." I hiss. I narrow my eyes, as he's smirking away.

"Babe, I like it." He nods his head in approval. "But it's not good enough. Too common."

"So is cupcake. What? Do you want me to call you Hunty? Or is that it too hard to say?" He manages to get closer to me.

"Why are you being mean?" I pretend to pout.

"You love it, don't you?"

"No, I don't." I look at his bright blue eyes. The blue eyes I fell in love with, as well as his whole self. Except the jerk part. "Is this part of being a guy? Acting like a dick because you have one?"

"And the longer it is, the meaner they are." He smirks. I drop my jaw.

"I'm speechless."

"Also dickless. Which is why you are so nice." He looks at my whole body.

"I am not nice!" I hit his shoulder. I look at his face, and the dimples are popping out, because of him actually smiling.

"Nice try cupcake." He shakes his head. "Enough to arguing, we have plans."

"Hunter, we are in the woods."

"Yup. Number 14. Camping!" He claps his hands. "Now let's go explore. I have extra clothes for you." He opens the trunk, and let's in all the forestry air.

"I love this smell." I smile.

"I'm going to get the clothes." He says, he got a trunk thing that's on the top, so I just happen to see all of his muscles as he grabs a suitcase. He puts it down in the car where we were sleeping. He digs through it while I look around where we are.

He hands me a pair of hiking shorts, a tighter looking shirt, and a pair of hiking boots. Also socks. I smile. Then he just straight up takes off his shirt. I can't help to ogle at his flat, long, and strong torso.

"Stop staring, and get changed." He smirks, as he throughs on a tank top that the arm holes had long loops, so you could see his abdomen.

I turn around, and take off my shirt. Then I turn around, I see he's staring at me while unzipping his jeans. I would be lying if I said I wasn't turned on. I grab the shirt, and put it on. He's putting on his shoes as I take off my pants. He's staring at my legs, and I feel my face burning. The only sound that was being made was of us getting ready, and the crickets.

"Where are my pants?" I look around. Then at Hunter, who's smirking. Also looking at my bare legs. "Hunter." I say sternly.

"Come and get them." He tucks them into his pants.

"Oh dear god." I frown. I grit my teeth as I approach him. "Give them back, or no kisses."

"You sure about that? I doubt you can even do that." He reaches around, grabbing my ass. I glare at him, as I bite my bottom lip. He makes me closer to him, and he keeps his hands tight on my hips. "I want to see that scar."

"Hunter." I say softly. He lifts up my shirt a bit, looking-more like admiring the scar that runs up my leg. There was a huge knot in my stomach, watching sadness in his eyes. Sympathy. I hated it.

I then sit on his lap, totally oblivious to my pantless bottom. But he knew, because he pulls the pants out of his pants. And I take them. "I'm sorry B."

"It's okay, Hunter." I perk a smile. "I know things are looking up."

Awe is it bad I'm in love with my own book?? Yikes.
