Chapter 14

Shawzy got out to his car and went to go grab his keys from his pocket, but they weren't there. He starts to check all of his pockets. He realize that he forgot then on the bench by his cubicle. He made his way back to the locker room. He got to the locker room and sees Katie on the floor, crying and shaking.

"Katie, is everything okay?" he asks.

"No" she says through her tears.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

She got up off the floor and ran out of the locker room. Shawzy sees a plastic bag on the ground and walks over to it. He picks out up to see two  tests in there. Both of them had + on both of them. Is Katie pregnant? He thought to himself.

He sees Katie's bag and grabs it. He grabs his keys and the plastic bag with they tests. He walks outside and throws the plastic bag into the garage can. He walks over to his car, but was interrupted by someone crying. He looks over to see Katie sitting on the ground, sitting by the U.C wall. He walks over to her and puts her bag down.

He kneels next to her and starts to rub her back. She looks up to see him, he takes his other hand and starts to wipe her tears away.

"Shawzy?" she says.

"Katie tell me what's wrong, please." he says

"No!"

"Why?"

"Because you'll tell Duncs!"

"No, I won't."

"Your just saying that to get me to talk!"

"What would I have to do to show you I will keep it from Duncs?"

"I don't know...tell me something that you would never tell anyone."

He sighs but moves close to her. He leans in and whispers something into her ear. He moves away from her ear.

"Can you trust me now?" he asks.

She shakes her head yes and takes a deep breath.

"One of the reasons I came to Chicago was because of my ex boyfriend. He loved me and I loved him. Until one day, he raped me and now I'm pregnant with his baby." she says and starts to cry again.
