We took a truck to Lambda, but I was in the back so I couldn't see anything. I could only count how long it took to get there and judge how bumpy the terrain was by the jolts of the vehicle. The ground seemed to be smooth, so we were either on a road or path. Probably a path, because there were still some small jostles here and there. The journey took about twenty minutes, so Lambda was probably fifteen to thirty kilometers away. But I didn't know in what direction, so things could get tricky from there.
Norman escaped Lambda from late February to early March 2047, so I definitely had to be out by then. However, I have more information than Norman did, so I should be able to escape before then. Whatever the case, it needs to be as soon as possible. The first chance I got, I needed to communicate with both Smee and Vincent. Those two are the only ones I have a sure chance of talking to, though Smee is a bit more ambiguous because he's just described as a Minerva supporter and that's all.
All I know is I can trust him, and if possible I'd like to save him from Ratri, though I don't know the chances of it.
As soon as I arrived, they took me to a room with a metal examination table in the middle and a machine. They told me to take off my shirt and tank top, to where I was only wearing a bra. So far there had been no demons, so it didn't look like this was a commonly used area. I looked at the machine again, it had a crane-like piece of metal attached to it and at its end was a circle with a molded symbol on it.
Ah, I'm getting my tattoo. I realized. Oh, shit. They were going to burn it into me, that thing obviously didn't use ink.
This is gonna hurt, I decided, looking at it.

After they burned my tattoo in (which hurt like a bitch), they put a tracker around my wrist then took me down a hallway and into my room. There was a plush bed, a monitor above a bookshelf, and a table with a stool. It was quite plain, but it worked.
There was a private bathroom adjacent to my room, where, according to the manga, there were no cameras. There were six cameras in my room itself according to Norman. But I have no idea where they are, so I'll have to find that out on my own, and also see if there are blind spots.
I need to find and meet Smee, who will help me escape. I need to put a message into the professor's cube for Vincent to find. I need to locate the camera's in my room. That's all I can do right now.
So with my spare time, I'll be building a respectful relationship with the staff and reading. Reading anything and everything I can get my hands on. The tests here were only 200 questions unlike the Gracefield 300, but they were more difficult, and I might have less time to do them depending on the day. As I am, I would be considered a genius. But, I'm not yet Lambda Norman's level of genius. I need to fix that. I refuse to get a single question wrong. If I'm to take Norman's place, I at least need to be as good as him.
Fortunately, I had spent my time at the house well, and with that extra year of studying, and a day at the end of each week after that, I had made it beyond Ray's level of genius. So I just especially needed to add onto that until I could ace the tests without effort. Then I would be at a level where I could focus on the plan.
That night, I didn't sleep. I stayed up and read a quarter of the books in my room. Which was about sixteen, and I chose the ones on subjects I thought might show up.
These aren't even going to last me a week, huh? I thought, looking at my bookshelf.

Suddenly, a voice on the monitor sounded. It was six in the morning, and I was in the middle of reading a book on triple integrals.
"Hello, 58194. Please press the monitor so we can check your vitals," the voice requested. It sounded male.
"Of course, doctor," I responded, realizing I would have to get used to being called by my number. My vitals appeared on the monitor, getting them from my tracker.
These trackers are much more advanced than Gracefields, I noticed. I looked at my vitals, remembering the time I used to study medicine. I had memorized all sorts of things relating to medician, and a basic checkup was child's play to me.
"You look healthy today," the doctor said, with the numbers on the screen disappearing. "Your breakfast is to your left," he notified. A small metal panel rose and revealed a breakfast consisting of a small loaf of bread, a beige soup, cherry tomatoes in a bowl, and a carton of milk with a straw. The utensils were made out of plastic and would be useless as weapons.
"Thank you very much," I replied, and blessed the food. Normally, when I ate alone I wouldn't bother to do such a thing, but I wanted to have the image of a smart and sweet girl, and every second the camera was on me, I knew I had to keep up that role. Though it was exhausting.

After breakfast, I took my new Litany test. It seems they only bumped up the difficulty a little bit to start, because none of the questions were difficult for me. After I was finished, they took me to a lab room and set me on an examination table, which confused me.
Don't they only do intelligence experiments on Norman? The only thing they should be giving me is pills for seziures. Come to think of that, I didn't have any this morning... are they easing me into it? Am I in here for something involving that?
They told me to take off my tops again, which made my chest ache around the tattoo I had gotten yesterday, but this time I had to get rid of my bra. This made me uncomfortable, because of the male doctors in the room, but I complied. Then they made me lay down on the examination table, and a bunch of doctors in scrubs came up to me.
Oh fuck, I thought as they stuck a needle in my arm with a drug to put me under.
This is a surgery.
I fell unconscious.
Okay, short chapter today, but the next one's pretty long. I put a lot of thought into it, so I didn't put as much focus into this one. I hoped you liked my introduction to Lambda! Please vote if you enjoyed, I really appreciate them!
