Keith woke up in his hospital bed after a long nap, he sat up and stretched. He groaned quietly as some parts of his body still ache.
"You're awake! You are free to go if you'd like." The doctor said, wiping the counters in the room.
"Oh, I'll be going once i'm done stretching and getting ready." Keith said.
"Okay, I'll call your aunt." She said.
Keith slowly got up and balanced himself since his body was still a little weak, he held onto the counters as support and put on his shoes. He walked out the room to be greeted by Lila.
"Oh Keith!" Lila said, walking over to hug Keith.
"I was so worried about you, what happened?!" She said, still hugging him.
"I'll tell you later, can we get back home?" Keith said, pulling away from the hug. Lila nodded and helped him walk out the hospital and to the car.
Once Keith and Lila arrived at the house, Keith slowly walked over to the couch and sat down slowly since his body was still aching. Lila sat right beside him.
"So, what happened?" Lila asked.
"Well, a lot of things happened." Keith said, looking down.
"Was it that Pico guy again?" Lila said.
"Unfortunately, yes."
"-but he apologized! So it's okay." Keith said before Lila could say anything.
"Are you sure it's okay?" Lila said, worried.
"One hundred percent!" Keith said holding a thumbs up.
"If you say so." Lila said, getting up to do her chores.
It was 11:00 in the morning, school was still going on and Keith remembered. He went to his room and opened his closet. He put on a white t-shirt with a hoodie, navy blue pants, he put on some earrings he haven't worn for a while. His ears were pierced but he only wore earrings for a short amount of time. To finish the outfit, he put on black fingerless gloves.
"All right, I'm ready." Keith said to himself.
Feeling confident for a minute about himself, he walked to the door and grabbed his backpack and put on his usual white vans.
"Are you going to school? I don't think you're ready." Lila said, wiping her hands on a towel.
"I'm ready, I feel okay."
"You sure?"
"Yep."
"O-kay!" Lila said walking over to him and placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Why do you want to go to school anyway?" Lila smirked.
"W-well I just want to see- friends!" Keith tried to sound convincing. Lila just looked at him, her face expression matched with the word, 'really?'
"A-and... I have an- upcoming test! I d-don't want to be late for that do I..?" Keith said, trying to make a good excuse.
Lila sighed and laughed.
"Y'know Keith, it's not bad to say the truth."
"What do you mean...? I am saying the truth.."
"You had a test two days ago, there's no way there's another test. If there was, your math teacher would've emailed me." Lila said putting a hand on her hip.
Keith looked away, flustered.
"I-I'm just gonna go now- bye!" Keith said, hiding his angel form and walking out the door putting on his backpack.
