soooo.... this is awkward

its been like 2 or 3 years since I've touched this fanfic, I'm long gone out of this phase... but since I'm procrastinating really hard on my essays, why not update this?

even though I doubt any of you are still here, that's fine, I need something to do

this chap may be inaccurate since I haven't reread everything yet, but I think I remember the idea I was going for. i mostly winged it, expect flaws !!!

The nurses motioned in and out of the room in a hurry, it startled Pico and the others, who grew skeptical of them. Cherry, who seemed to have a gist of what was happening, immediately snarled.

"Keith? We just left, is he okay?" Nene chimed worriedly, looking at the doctors who ran toward the hallway that led to Keith's room.

Pico looked behind him; the equipment the doctors were bringing meant it was serious. He bit his lip in frustration, while his friends sent him an empathetic expression. Darnell approached Pico, patting his back reassuringly.

"Hey man, it'll be okay. Keith is strong, you know that." Darnell nods, and Pico shakes his head.

"I know... but you know how he is. He's so damn fragile, and I can't help but worry about him. His shocks and everything-"

"Pico, there's nothing we can do..." Nene spoke up, interrupting Pico's train of panicked thoughts.

"Plus, it's a good chance it might not be him they're treating right now," Cherry added. Pico nodded slightly, staring at the ground. Cherry glanced at Pico often as they walked down the hallway, a painful throb in her heart from her discreet lie. For the sake of both Pico and Keith, he must not know.

However, her lie didn't stand for long when the invisible, cold presence of Zeke swiftly passed by them. His eyes narrowed directly at Pico before walking straight down the hallway to Keith's room.

All four of them were alerted immediately when they spotted Zeke, nonchalantly walking down the hallway. Not a hint of concern on his face, contrasting from Pico's current panic. Zeke sent a smirk directly to Pico before he disappeared around the corner. Pico stormed down the hallway without hesitation after him, only to grunt aggressively.

"It's that bastard! I'm telling you-" Pico exclaimed, immediately being held back by Darnell and Cherry.

"Pico! Calm your ass down-"

"How can I calm myself down when that bastard is near Keith? I don't trust him, I know he's bad! Don't you think it's suspicious for him to return after walking away earlier?" Pico retorted harshly, escaping Darnell and Cherry's grip.

Darnell held Pico's shoulders with a firm grip. Cherry protectively shielded Nene from Pico and Darnell, which was unnecessary, but Nene appreciated the taller girl's worry and clung to her arm.

"Listen to me Pico, we are in a hospital. The last thing we want to deal with right now is security and staff escorting us out. There is always tomorrow, it's a weekend." Darnell sternly stated.

Pico stared at him for what felt like forever, piercing holes through Darnell's face with his sharp stare, before scoffing.

"Whatever."

The three watched Pico storm off toward Keith's room before staring at each other. A cold chill washed through the atmosphere after the argument with Pico.
