❀┊ Ch.12: His Best Friend

"Zeke..?" Keith mumbled.

"Yes, it's me." Zeke said.

Keith stood up and tightly hugged his long lost best friend he hadn't seen since the incident.

"You survived?" Keith started to shed a tear.

"Yes, I did. I'm strong dummy." Zeke ruffled his hair.

"How'd you get here?" Keith said as he sobbed in Zeke's chest.

"A spell." He said.

"I have to ask you the same question, also are your parents okay?" Zeke said.

"I got here because demons brought me here.. my parents.." he sobbed more.

"Woah, woah, Keith, its okay." Zeke rubbed his back and reassured him.

Let me tell you a bit about Zeke and Keith's past.

They met in Ansechia, obviously. Ever since he saw Keith, he saw something different in him. He smiled whenever he was around. He'd protect him.

In their place, they would always fly around hills while holding hands and play with animals. Like they were one with nature.

There was one thing he noticed.

He might've took a liking to him.

Still, he kept it a secret. Until the day where the demons invaded, he was worried he wouldn't see him again. Ever. He went to Earth and stayed there.

He was with his parents, they escaped with him, they're living perfectly fine. He was in Lakewood high being a little mean to people, he didn't have the shock in him however.

He'd always bully people for how hurt he'd been, not seeing his best friend.

Then, a new student came. It could've been a miracle. He saw..

Him.

He saw him.

Keith.

His long lost best friend.

He kept his distance from him since he wanted to surprise him.

Then, he saw him with Pico.

It melted his heart but he stood strong.

Now, he's here.

Keith in his hands.

Reunited.

"Keith, its okay." Zeke reassured.

"b-but they're g-gone.." Keith cried.

"Shh.." Zeke hugged him. He was always good at comforting Keith, he knew him for more than 5 years.

Zeke then allowed Cherry and Pico who were not far away, now track Keith. He knew they were worried, and them seeing in a position like this, oh they would be jealous. Pico especially.

Zeke and Keith were sitting on the grass, both now in angel form. Keith's wings were folded and he was hugging Zeke while his head was in his chest, crying quietly. Zeke was hugging him, patting his back while his larger wings surrounded the both of them.

It was a cute position really.

"I can now track him again." Cherry said after 10 minutes.

"Go!" Pico said impatient.

They ran back to the forest, hopping over some fallen trees. Then saw Zeke and Keith.
