After Naruto brushed his teeth he walked down the stairs to see Jiraiya cooking. "Wow, I haven't seen you actually cook in.." he put a finger on his chin,
in thought, "forever."

Jiraiya turned away from the stove and towards Naruto. "My cooking is too good to do everyday. It gets overwhelming for my customers." He smirked and Naruto just laughed while rolling his eyes before sitting down on a stool.

Jiraiya sighed, finally mustering enough courage to ask Naruto. "Naruto," he called out getting a hum from the blond. "remember a few weeks ago, before you went on that field trip?"

Naruto thought for a second. "Hm.. Oh, yeah! What about it?"

"I left a box here, I'm not sure if you saw it.."

"Oh, yeah, I saw it. You left the box next to the note you left for me. I left it in the same place at first but put it away after, just to be safe. I can get it for you now, if you want?" He offered.

Jiraiya waved his hands in dismissal. "Just show me where it is." He turned the stove off.

"Okay." Naruto stood up silently and led Jiraiya to the closet in his room. "It's up there." He said, pointing to the top shelf.

Jiraiya sighed and reached over Naruto to grab it. "Thanks."

Naruto hummed. "So, is the food ready yet?" He asked. "Me and Kiba are going out in a few." He announced. He noticed Jiraiya was acting odd about the box and decided he was going to find out why.

"Almost done, don't worry." Jiraiya said, walking back to the stove. "I'm going out soon too, not sure when I'll be back." Naruto nodded and pulled out his phone.

Me: KIBA

Me: KIBA

Me: YOU THERE

Kiba: IM TRYING TO SLEEP

Me: COME OVER STAT

Kiba: What happened?

Me: I'll tell you when you get here
Me: JUST HURRY UP

Kiba: okay, jeez
Kiba: I'll be there soon

"Naruto, Kiba is here!" Jiraiya yelled.

Naruto shot up and ran down the stairs as fast as possible. "Kiba you're here!" He cheered.

"Yeah, so what was so urgent that I had to—" Naruto slapped the palm of his hand over Kiba's face.

"Not now!" He whispered to Kiba, getting questioning looks from Jiraiya.

"Sorry.." Naruto apologized to Jiraiya, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried not to seem suspicious.

"Yeah.. he's just..." Kiba looked around, trying to think of an excuse when he saw a tampon ad on the tv screen. "on his period. Yeah, he's on his period... and needs help on how to apply a pad."

Naruto's face went red as he sent a glare towards Kiba. "You dumbass!" Naruto yelled, smacking the back of Kiba's head.

"Ow, I'm sorry!" Kiba apologized, rubbing his swollen head. "You know I'm bad at lying!"

Jiraiya chuckled. "I don't care what you two are up to as long as it's legal and you keep me out of it." He said, walking away from the two.

Naruto quickly grabbed Kiba's wrist and dragged him up the stairs. He closed the door after he made sure no one was following him. "What the hell?" Kiba was confused, Naruto was acting so mysterious.

"Keep it down!" Naruto warned. "We can't afford to be caught."

Kiba raised an eyebrow. "Caught? Oh no, I ain't doing nothing illegal! You heard Jiraiya!" He said, turning towards the door but Naruto stopped him from leaving.

"This isn't illegal, just hear me out! At least I don't think so.." He said, whispering the last part. "Okay, so Jiraiya always goes away for weeks at a time right?"

Kiba nodded. "Where are you going with this?"

"How does he earn such large sums of money? I need to know! He was even being suspicious about a box! I know he's hiding something and we're going to find out what it is!" Naruto declared.

"Nu-uh! When did I agree to this?!"

"When you decided to be my best friend! Now, let's go, he's leaving soon." Naruto said, dragging Kiba towards the stairs. They peeked over the stair's railing to see Jiraiya walking towards the front door.

"Naruto, I'm heading out! Make sure to lock the door if you two go out."

Naruto walked into view. "Okay, have fun wherever you're going."

Kiba also walked into view. "Yeah, it's not like we're going to fol-" Naruto once again slapped his hand over the brunette's mouth.

He gave Kiba a warning look before removing his hand. "Goodbye Jiraiya!" Naruto said, pushing the older male about of the front door.

He closed the door and rushed over to the window to peek through the curtains. "What are you doing?" Kiba asked, weirded out.

"I'm seeing if he's gone yet or not..." He said. "Okay, he's out of view! We better hurry and follow him!" Naruto grabbed Kiba's wrist, pulling him outside and towards his garage. He led him to a bike that had two seats. "Sit,"

Kiba looked at him stupidly. "So we are following him?"

Naruto glared at the brunette. "Have you been listening to me or not?" Kiba scratched the back of his head. "Whatever, just get on."

Kiba nodded, getting on the back seat. Naruto started paddling, going towards the direction he saw Jiraiya go. They almost lost him a few times but seemed to keep up pretty well.

After about thirty minutes later they saw Jiraiya park and go into a building that looked like a car repair shop or like a huge garage.. Naruto stopped the bike and got off of it after Kiba.

"What is this place.." Kiba mumbled, staring at the sketchy building.

"I don't know but we're going to find out.." Naruto added, walking towards it.

Kiba snapped out of his trance. "What do you mean?! Do you not see how sketchy this place looks?! What kinda stuff is Jiraiya involved in?! There's no way I'm going in there!"

"Fine, I'll go alone then." He declared and started walking away but was stopped by Kiba grabbing his wrist.

Naruto sighed and shifted his gaze to Kiba. "Look, I've had Jiraiya provide for me for the majority of my life, but I've never given much thought to where he gets his money. If I knew I stood by and watched him put his life in danger, I wouldn't be able to live with myself."

The brunette pondered Naruto's words as she stood silently. He let go of his wrist after a few moments. "All right, but I'm going with you." He declared making Naruto smile.
