Debate Team (sasunaru/narusasu)

|| Chapter Fifteen ||

The school bell rang, marking the end of the day. Students pouring out of classrooms, eager to return home, clogged the previously empty halls. Everyone was ready to go home after the long day. All with the exception of the debate team since they needed to remain for practice.

"How are things going for everybody today?" Kakashi smiled and finally put his book down so that everyone could stop glaring at him but all the students just glared at him to go on.

Kakashi laughed. "Well, today we will be discussing things we should be doing when giving a speech. This is very important because you will be doing this a great deal during the competitions. Does anyone have any tips that we can use?"

Neji lifted his hand and Kakashi flagged him to talk. "Going over the information in our argument beforehand. It helps us determining which words we are unable to pronounce. We can even ask you or a classmate for assistance on how to pronounce the word."

"Indeed, great job." He smiled at Neji before returning his gaze to the rest of the group. "Today, we're taking notes on how to give a good speech."

He lookever over at Kiba,"Kiba would you be able to pass out the papers we use for cornel notes?" He inquired.

"Of course!" The brunette grinned, getting off his seat and walking towards the stack of papers.

"Keep in mind that you'll only have two minutes to present your argument, so try to read as quickly as possible. Another important consideration is to maintain eye contact with the designated judge. This will earn you more points and give you a better chance of winning."

"Okay, that's all for today." Kakashi smiled and everyone sighed in relief.

Once they were all outside Kiba spoke up, "Guys, wanna hang out?"

Naruto grinned at the idea. He had nothing better to do especially since he didn't know if Jiraiya would be home or not. "Yeah!"

"Where should we go?" Tenten asked.

"I think we should go to Sasuke's!" Sakura made a bid.

"Ooh, that would be fun!" Kiba smirked. Perhaps he could discover something humiliating about Sasuke.

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "No way,"

Naruto maneuvered his way towards Sasuke. He began to walk backward, pouting, "Pleaseeee."

Sasuke ignored his pleading and amusedly watched him walk backward. "You'll fall," he warned.

"No I won't, hmph." He pursed his lips and looked to the side.

"Ahh!" He exclaimed as he collided with a crack in the pavement.

Sasuke's eyes widened. He quickly drew his hand from his pocket and snatched Naruto's arm. He grabbed him and yanked him forward to keep him from falling. "What did I tell you?"

Naruto's face warmed and he smiled. "Sorry, bastard,"

"Let's just go to your house," Neji spoke up, interfering in the conversation between the two.

Sasuke let go of Naruto and turned his attention to Neji. "Fine."

"Woah, bastard! Your house is amazing!" Naruto exclaimed, the sound of his voice echoing around the huge house. "It's much better than mine and we're neighbors!"
