I gave up and just went home feeling disheveled and drained. I slug back inside the house in complete silence. I don't think Nikki is home which i'm glad I just want to be alone right now. I crawl into bed instantly falling asleep.
I wake up to the bed dipping at Nikki's side. I don't turn around, he starts to trace up and down my arm.
" Soph " he calls out, I don't respond.
" Soph please talk to me " I turn around meeting his wild eyes, he looks sad.
" Where did you go I looked everywhere for you " I get up out of the bed heading over to our en-suite looking in the mirror at my pale complexion.
" I needed to be alone " I turn on the tap leaving it run while i stare off into space. I can feel him behind me, looking back up at the mirror he's stands over me wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder.
I'm not mad at Nikki i'm just embarrassed and angry at that woman for doing this to me. But what's done is done all I have to do is wait for it to die down and hopefully Doc will come up with something soon. I lean into Nikki his arms pulling me in close his scent of tobacco and vanilla filling my nostrils.
" I'm sorry for being rational earlier I just- I didn't know what to do " I sigh
" I'll fix this don't worry " he rubs my back.

Nikki's pov
" hey i've to go with Brandi for a doctors appointment will you be okay ? " I ask her as she lays down on the bed. She hasn't left it in about 3 days.
" yeah " is all she says. I feel awful about this whole situation I just feel powerless like I can't do anything.
" When i'm back we could maybe watch a movie or something if you would like " I come around to where she's facing she looks so sad.
" I'd like that " I kiss her on the forehead before leaving the house. Brandi called yesterday saying she had a doctors appointment, I wanted to go to be there for her after all she's still apart of my life.

" Everything is good with the baby " The doctor spins around in her chair smiling. I look at the monitor where the ultrasound is on the screen. It's so tiny.
" Would you like to know the sex ? " I look down at Brandi who looks back up at me.
" It's your choice I don't mind " she smiles at me. I think about it before I answer.
" I think I would like it to be a surprise "
" Okay that's perfect, If you have any problems between now and the birth please don't be shy to give us a call... " the doctor says walking out leaving us alone.
