By the time Tris hopped off the Train at the Amity Compound, Jeanine had texted her four times. She knew that Jeanine was worried about her, and she couldn't help but feel slightly bad for leaving on her. She sighs to herself as she is met by Johanna Reyes and a few other Amity representatives. She recognized one of them to be an Abnegation in disguise. "Hello, Susan."

The girl looks up at her in surprise before quietly nodding to her and dropping her gaze to the ground.

"Did Jeanine send you?" Johanna asks in a stern voice, taking in Tris' blue outfit.

"No. I came myself," Tris replies. By this time, everyone knew that Jeanine had been prepping Tris to become faction leader, so this surprised Johanna.
"I suppose you didn't come seeking refuge?"
Tris shakes her head. "I came to try and make peace," she whispers.

Johanna looks at her and nods. "Very well. Follow me." They walk into the main compound, and the Abnegation stare at the girl. She had gained much confidence in the way she composed herself, mainly due to spending too much time with Jeanine. Johanna points to a small bin in the corner by the door. "Please drop your devices there," she says with a small smile. "In the phone bin."
    "Phone bin...?"

"Just for while you are in our cafeteria area."
Tris nods and reluctantly puts her phone in the bucket.

They walk through the cafeteria. "Would you like a chance to explain the situation with your girlfriend?" Johanna asks quietly. "You could speak to all of the Amity, and maybe you'll convince us."
"Girlfriend?" Tris asks, in shock slightly.

"I apologize if we have the incorrect information. Marcus isn't that reliable."

"That little idiot he told-'' Tris spits out. She then looks up and sees the disapproving look from Johanna. "Sorry," she whispers.

Johanna nods. "You get five minutes."

Tris took advantage of the time, to try and explain what happened. As if someone had suddenly called a council session, the Amity huddle together and whisper amongst themselves. A representative from each little group stands up and heads over to Johanna.

"We are mostly convinced of Jeanine Matthews' innocence. You are free to stay here, as we are offering refuge. We will be staying out of this war."
Tris nods. "Yeah, I can stay here for a couple of days."

On her third morning at Amity, Tris had woken up early and had gotten a list of chores to accomplish. She acquired her phone and had sent a text to Jeanine, informing her not to worry. Tris finished her morning chores, before sitting down with a group of familiar faces. Sitting there was Caleb and two men that she could not recognize.
"Beatrice!" Caleb greets. "This is Tobias Eaton and Peter."

Tris nods to them. "Nice to meet you. Call me Tris."

The muscular boy, whose neck was covered in tattoos, stands up. "You're from Erudite," he says in a gruff voice, eyeing her clothing. Tris nods. "Well, unlike most of the Amity here, the controlled Dauntless and Abnegation don't like your faction too much. I'd advise you to... act differently. We wouldn't want something unfortunate to happen, would we?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. Tris nods again. Caleb could tell she was trying to act brave, but her hand was shaking slightly.

"You are absolutely right, Tobias.," she says with a forced smile. "Violence in Amity isn't something that we would like to see happen."

"Good," he nods before walking off.

"He's got a bubbly personality," Tris says sarcastically.

Peter snorts. "One could say that. At least you didn't have to deal with him as an initiation instructor."

"I had Jeanine. She's not a fan of sixteen-year-olds," Tris mutters.

"That's different. She likes you enough to get in bed with you," he says with a smirk.

Tris slaps her fist on the table. "You have no right!"

Peter shrinks away from her. "No need to get feisty, Princess."

Tris flips him off and chucks a plate at him. "How the hell do the Amity do it?" she asks as Johanna walks over to her.

"My office. Now," Johanna says curtly. They walk in silence until they get there. "This is your third episode this week, Tris. If it happens again, I will have to ask you to leave," she says strictly. Tris isn't paying attention by this time. "Look! There's the Erudite militia trucks," she whispers.
"You have to hide all of the Abnegation. I don't know if that's Eric or Jeanine. We can't take any risks."

Tris works with the Amity to hurriedly put in precautionary measures. On the way out of her room at amity, Tris stares at herself in the mirror for a few seconds before grabbing the scissors off the bedside table.  She quickly cuts her hair off and covers her head with a red scarf before rushing to the cafeteria. By the time the cars pull up, most of the abnegation had been disguised as Amity, and Tris takes her place next to Tobias. "Hey," she says to him with a smile. "Try to sound cheery." Tobias rolls his eyes.

"That's hard to do," he mutters back but forces a smile anyways.

They all take a spot in the cafeteria as the erudite file in. Johanna walks over to Eric and Tris and Tobias watch as the two talk.

"Attention, Amity!" Johanna calls. "The erudite are looking for three people, and any stray Abnegation. I told him that they have moved on. But as for the three, They are looking for Tobias Eaton, Beatrice Prior, and Caleb Prior."

"What did we do?" Caleb hisses.

Tris sighs. "Tobias stopped the simulation, and you and I went with Jeanine to stop it," Tris whispers. "That's why Eric wants us. He's taken over Jeanine's recently abandoned experiment."

A guard stops by them and they fall quiet. "Your hair is kind of short for an Amity," he remarks. Eric walks over.

"Yeah, well it's kind of hot outside," Tobias quickly snaps back.

"It's him," Eric says, pulling down his collar and revealing tattoos. "The other two are here too. The girl is especially important. We need her as leverage against Jeanine."

What happened next was so fast that Tris took a few seconds to comprehend. Tobias knocks the guard out and takes his gun, shooting it at Eric before he yells for the Priors to run.

Tris grabs Caleb's hand and pulls him up. They run past an injured Eric as Tobias runs backward behind them. They run closer towards the center of the city until they reach a railroad track. Tobias looks off in the distance. "There's a train coming soon. We're going to jump in it."

"Are you crazy?!" Caleb yells.

"He's just a Dauntless," Tris mutters.

"Follow my lead!" Tobias calls as the train approaches. He starts running alongside it before jumping on with ease. Tris mimics his actions, and Tobias helps pull her up and she falls into his arms. She smiles up at him, gratefully, before moving aside so Tobias could pull her brother up. The two let out a sigh of relief of having escaped Amity before a voice from behind them interrupts.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Tobias turns around, his gun pointed outward. He drops it when he sees the man. "Get your leader. Tell her my name is Tobias Eaton," he says forcefully.
