"You had one job, Cass" said a voice from behind me causing me to groan before turning around, "And you couldn't even do that right"
"Can I not just use the bathroom in peace?" I questioned dramatically as she rolled her eyes
"I told you to keep your little psycho away from Caleb and rumor is they have a thing" said Lila looking at me with pure hate, "Call it a relationship seems too sad"
"I'm not my brother keeper, I don't have a say in who he dates, Lila. I also don't have a say in who Skai dates" I stated as she rolled her eyes taking an intimidating step forward, "And this whole thing you have for my brother is getting pathetic, he doesn't like you anymore"
"I didn't ask for your opinion" she growled as Skailer entered the bathroom
"Sorry...I just wanted to check on you" said Skailer looking between Lila and I
"I'm fine" I said with a weak smile as Lila glared at Skailer
"I'm Skai"
"I know who you are, freak" spat Lila as Skailer nodded her head, reading the room as Lila took a step backwards, "We'll finish our conversation later, Cass"
"Whatever" I sighed as she looked at Skailer before walking off
"What was that about?" questioned Skailer as I shrugged, deciding that playing dumb was my best option at the moment
"I don't know, something to do with Caleb" I shrugged, brushing the conversation off as she looked at me, totally as unconvinced as I was by what I was saying
"Okay, well we've got class in two minutes so let's go" she said, not pushing it any further as she tightened her hold on the strap of her backpack
"Just give me a minute" I said as she nodded her head before exiting the bathroom
I felt guilty for lying to her though in some aspects she was doing the same, not that I could compare the two. She was less lying, more keeping a secret while I on the other hand was full on lying to my best friend.
Though at this point I couldn't really tell which was worse.
